Rumour was the woman whose name escapes me wanted a huge pay hike to continue.

Do you have a credible link with that info?

More likely is that the peak (American) viewing figures of only 2.37 million made it unsustainable as production costs could not be justified by advertising revenue generated. It was really a minority interest program despite being screened in 137 different territories.

I'm just happy that they've actually wrapped it up and finished it properly. So many series get killed off when they were planning more, so you never get the full story arc.

Just finished the final series this week - I think it wrapped everything nicely, and avoided the usual "everything turned out great" ending you so often get with shows like this. Definitely one I'll miss, but at least it ended before feeling too contrived/drawn out.

No, it was on the Facebook page a while back I saw it. I think I may have been slightly inflammatory. What I meant was the female star wanted more money than the viewing figures would allow them to offer and still keep the show viable. In addition several of the other actors had other shows Roger Cross in Dark Matter for example. It's a shame though as it was one of the better scifi shows recently
