Halb said: I always thought Rutger Hauer was a good physical match for Dredd. Some of those old stories he looks like a spindle spider. This guy has the jaw, easy. Was thinking about him earlier when reading this thread and the "chin" was mentioned. Still remember watching Tango and Cash for the first time as a kid and thinking "what in gods name is going on with that guys face". A truly biblical jaw. Lets be honest here though, the perfect JD would have been a 40 Yr old Clint Eastwood. Tall, reasonable build, grumpy as f k and a voice like a bag of gravel. A bit old for the part now though....

Looking forward to it, hope they don't make a mess of it.
Hammerstein looked great in the Stallone movie, it would be good to see an ABC Warriors movie

I have a few Dredd cross-overs, I may have the Alien one, not sure. I do have the Batman one, where Dredd simply commands, 'subdue him.' And Batman gets t tted by a dozen Judges with truncheons.

Everyone should have Judgment on Gotham. There needs to be a law in place.

If you're looking for crossovers try this. Batman - Dead End. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2U6E8jOyn8&fea...Once you can get past the rather crap Batman costume and the fact that he's obviously spent a little too much time in the Gotham Maccie Dees, this is really rather awesome, especially the closing shot.

And that fella was in bloody good shape, better than Mike Keaton. That was totally wicked. The production values were very (surprisingly) high, higher than some features. The only gripe was the silly predator vision, it was wrong, and jarred with the rest of the quality. Oh and he did the C Bale Batman voice.

That the sandy collora one? Generated a lot of interest when it came out.

Quitely optimisitc about this. I think Urban may have the screen presence to pull this off. I just really really hope that they stick to the source material and this doesn't get the traditional Hollywood watered down treatment. I'm thinking a Robocop-ey type vibe might work well for it.
