Lost was just a joke. They had no idea where they were going. It was spun out like the vast majority of level B US shows are.

For the benefit of those like me who are waiting for it, series 4 starts again on Atlantic at 9pm tomorrow.

Perhaps the biggest problem, if the whole thing is trying to mean something-ish, rather than just look 60's pretty, is how will it end in S7 & will it avoid the Lost type confused/meh/what ending. There must be something about DD etc, but can't help feeling it will be something of a let down.

I'm wondering whether they'll change it up; perhaps the story was never about Don at all.

It's more like The Sopranos. It's just life, glimpses of it, and the stories that go around the characters. Stuff like Lost is more formula.

I borrowed S4 & 5 off someone at work. Season 4 is definitely the best so far.

So I'm watching MM. It had turned into the sort of show I watch over the laptop, but last night's episode was pretty good.
Don returns. He seemed a bit keen in jumping back into his old firm, has he lost his sharp edge? Doesn't even go for the ladies anymore.
I was mildly surprised he didn't deal when offered the return clauses, he knew he actually had them by the balls?

Well, Michael Ginsberg made a bit of a tit of himself in the latest episode, didn't he? biggrin

I had forgotten that...wtf was he on...some fumes in his flat or something, or mental illness?

Then there was the threesome Don had...sometimes I find the women that throw themselves at him a bit much.

It was great to see him get one up over that Lou though, with the smoking company.

True, but in going 'off script' like that he's actually broken the rules he was set and could forfeit his Partnership. It'll be interesting to see how it pans out.

As Jim Cutler said: "you think this will save you?"

Cutler and Lou are enemies.
Sterling and the bloke in LA are allies, also partners. The older guy is indifferent I think. Leaves Ted.

Bloody love MadMen! I only came across it recently on SkyGo.com where they have series 1-6, went a bit crazy and watched them all in under 2weeks! It gets a little meh in the middle but overall a great show, mix of characters, Roger is just brilliant. Pete is the slimiest thing on TV and Joan Holloway is just wow! I find Don a little annoying at times though.

S7 looks to be good, 3 episodes in! Definitely recommend you get watching it!

Don annoys me too sometimes.
Not sure if I want him fked up or winning.
He makes so many bad choices and can be such a colossal knob.

i'm up to season 6. I find it mundane, but strangely addictive. It's like a soap opera. Nothing happens in soap operas, but i find the era fascinating.

Who is Mad Men actually aimed at? Is it an american couples in their late 60's and early 70's?

LOL. Exactly the same here. Well, maybe not 2 weeks but under 4 anyway. I was watching several a night.

I'm all caught up now and it's really annoying having to wait a week between episodes!
