Inglourious Basterds opening is superb! I must admit i've always liked the opening of Goldeneye as well.
I rewatched Inglorious Basterds last weekend, albeit while seeing off a litre of vodka (so somewhat squiffy) and what a film! I enjoyed it the first time around, but even more do the second!Tarantino is an irritatingly good filmmaker.
'Un Chien Andalou' made in 1929, here's a trailer: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0020530/

Blues Brothers for me. It's a long scene that starts at the prison and ends with "It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?"
"Fix the cigarette lighter!"
My father used to put that film on to keep me quiet when he was supposed to be looking after me.
