I'm planning on watching the Haye/Chisora fight tomorrow night with a couple of mates at my house. I've never booked a PPV event before so have absolutely no idea how to do it. I'm not going to be at home or able to do it for various reasons until tomorrow late afternoon, so I don't want to leave it too late to find out that I should have done it today!

How do I actually book it and does anyone know what channel it'll be on (I have Sky rather than Freeview)?

its on boxnation and its £10 for the fight plus £10 to sign up to boxnation (i think) so overall a massive rip off.

Normal box office you can just purchase 2mins before the fight but this is different.

I'd quite comfortably spend more than £20 on beer alone if I went to the pub to watch it, so that's not too bad - not as good as £10 though!!

Channel 437 on sky mate sign up here basically: http://www.boxnation.com/subscribe/

£10 a month for the channel (no sign up fee with promotional code), cancel when you want though theres no subscription at present. 2 other world title fights on over the next 2 weeks too so might as well get your moneys worth.

See, if for example there was a website. A website that just so happened to dedicate it's very existence to allowing people to watch pay-par-view sports online, without paying. If I was to start such a site I would want to put the emphasis in the title that it was about sports and that it was like watching it from the front row, or the first row, either way right at the front. And obviously I would have to get a different.(region) code because all the .com ones have been taken so I would have to call it something like... I don't know...

If only. That sounds like it would be something that would be of great interest to a lot of people. I just wish someone would do that.

Never mind, the search must continue....

And how many times would your site crash or have crap buffering before I spend my ten pound I must know this.

I suppose if one was to go out and find such a site one might be able to test the quality of their broadcasts prior to the event spoken of in the OP.

Yes but when there is a special event on such as this, these sites tend not to be able to handle it. I think I'll risk it and buy a kebab for a tenner at least my money won't be going towards Frank's new Rolls Royce

In fairness, this particular site has supplied me with sport faultlessly, through its numerous iterations for a few years now. Only once has it let me down.

Did anyone else sign up for Box Nation to watch this?

I signed up on Saturday, paid £10 through PayWizard, tried to cancel it on Sunday and they said they had no record of an account for me. They also said they don't take PayWizard payments - the payment site that their website actually links into during the sign up process?!

Oddly, I didn't have BoxNation before I signed up, but I did after I signed up, so I don't think it went through a dodgy scam website, but I'm just a bit concerned that I've been done somewhere with this!
