Saturday to Saturday always takes an age when it's on, looking really good though.

I'm intrguied by several things...

Dinosaurs - Yay!
Wild West - Yay!
More River Song - Yay!

But the main one, that clip makes it look the Doctor is talking about Amy when he says, "Who do you think?" but surely it's more likely to be River Song?

Remember the previous end of series finale? When they were being chased around a museum and Song comes face to face with one? She tells it to "look her up" and it begs for mercy? Hmmm.....

I thought back when Ecclescake was the Doctor that HE said he the one who killed them all (along with all the Time Lords) Unless this lot are a different, new, set of daleks(well they do seem to like to keep coming back!)

They are a different, new, set of Daleks. Oh and some old ones (and I mean really old ones) will crop up too.

He did but didn't the Dr cause an event after the time locked war that caused a paradox when the mentally deranged Dalek (Sek?) from the Battle of Canary Wharf and in Dalek's in Manhatten, emergency teleported into the Time War and came which started the Davros dalek story.

Plus a lot of timey whimey stuff.

Davros's new Daleks were all destroyed (bar one ship) by DoctorDonna.

That one ship fell back through time to the 1940's where they created the robot Professor Bracewell, who then claimed to have invented the "Ironsides" (olive green Daleks) to help Churchill win the war. However, it was all a trap to ensnare the Doctor and get him to activate a Progenitor device (which contained pure Dalek DNA) as these Daleks were impure and the Progenitor didn't recognise them. The Progenitor gave birth to the Power Rangers Daleks who destroyed the remaining three Davros Daleks, before proclaiming that "We will return to our own time and begin again".

The Daleks that you see in the trailer are the ones created by the Power Rangers Daleks, even though they are mostly using the old bronze casings. The Power Ranger Daleks are now, apparently, and officer class.

Or something.

Looks interesting.

I might also rewatch "Remembrance of the Daleks" even if it does contain Sylvester McCoy.

Yep, but there are a few little teasers on the BBC site first:

BBC Who Page said:
We are delighted to confirm that the Doctor returns to BBC One on Saturday, 1st September with the incredible, Asylum of the Daleks. But you won’t have to wait until then for new Doctor Who as Pond Life premieres online on Monday, 27th August.

Matt Smith returns as the Doctor and called Asylum of the Daleks ‘a cracker’, adding, ‘Steven [Moffat] has written an absolute belter and we have made the Daleks scary again’. But before that, we have Pond Life to look forward to!

Featuring the Doctor, Amy and Rory, this five-part mini-adventure premieres on this site at noon on Monday with parts 2-5 stripped daily across the week. Written by Chris Chibnall and directed by Saul Metzstein, the omnibus version of Pond Life will be shown on the BBC’s Red Button on Saturday, 1st September.

Chris Chibnall commented, ‘Pond Life provides us with a lovely opportunity to catch-up with Amy and Rory since we saw them at the end of the last series. It opens with the Ponds at home and gives us an insight in to just what happens when the Doctor drops in and out of their lives. Travelling with the Doctor is one of the greatest things you can do, but it's fun to spend a few moments looking at the chaos he can also bring.’

Caroline Skinner, Executive Producer, said ‘Chris has written a beautiful, heartfelt and wickedly funny piece about the adventures the Ponds have been having with the Doctor since we last saw them on-screen. It's not long till the series itself will be back with a vengeance - but in the meantime, Pond Life is a truly heart-warming piece about our best-loved companions and their madcap relationship with their raggedy Doctor.’

We’ll be bringing you more about the new series and Pond Life soon!

Best-loved companions?

They're being booted out quick smart only to be replaced by that soppy tart from Emmerdale.

Didn't they say they were going to pension off the Darlecks? My Son will be bursting at the seams when I show him this later!
The bronze Daleks were going to be replaced by the colourful Power Rangers Daleks, but they proved to be unpopular and so are rumoured to now be an "officer class" in charge of the bronze ones.

Incidentally, the first episode, Asylum of the Daleks, features every previous model of Dalek that the Doctor has ever encountered, including the old 1960's versions and the Special Weapons Dalek from 1988's "Remembrance of the Daleks". biggrin
I rewatched "Remembrance of the Daleks" yesterday. Trying to avoid Sylvester McCoy and 'Ace' rolleyes

It would be interesting if they do include this as an idea and also the idea of differing faction groups of Daleks. Maybe this will explain the 'Fisher Price' onces we have seen lately?
