If it will be as ste as his performance at the Olympics - then just as well.

Was Blackadder in the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony?

I suspect you are in the minority there! I thought it was fantastic! ( as does everyone else I have spoken to!)

What a silly thing to say. It was fantastic.

I always thought Mr. Bean was a modern interpretation of Mr. Blackadder, a throwback to the original.

It was more of an error on the makers of the opening ceremony to allow comedy to be used to ruin what would otherwise have been a good (and serious) performance of Chariots of Fire.

As for the performance, it was lame and seemed tired/boring.

You can be sure any modern remake of Blackadder would be fairly lame too.

Then again I don't want to suck Blackadders cock like some on here :P

Smug, lazy, derivative, and worst of all, not funny. Blackadder is acerbic, black, mordant, scatalogical and funny; smug and not funny is rubbish.

IMO The Rowan Atkinson/Mr Bean piece at the Olympics was weak, briefly passable but it went on too long and every passing second was increasingly cringeworthy. It was not his finest moment.

The man is funny, his Olympic performance was not.

I say this as a big Rowan Atkinson fan.

Maybe the overseas audience also enjoyed it?

I'd like to see another Blackadder before Rowan pops off. Was never a great fan of Bean.
Blackadder B&F was OK, just compared to what went before it falls.
