I like this guy.

Surely he can ditch the NHS glasses now.

He also looks like a great big lumbered giant on stage for some reason.

Like him tho.

Can't help think that James 'Swagger' Arthur would be suited to a dirtier backing track rather than some anemic 80's drum machine.

I think James Arthur is likeable because he's real - hence the VT in the pub. The antithesis of Rylan, if you like.

His long spell of unemployment and self pity might have influenced my opinion, as portrayed on his initial audition

Feels like a real advert fest tonight. No wonder we normally record it and watch it later!

The Spraggen girl is a good lyricist but a less than mediocre performer.

I don't think self pity is correct. I think he displayed a lack of self confidence and low self esteem which may well be a result of him being unable to gain employment. A vicious circle.

As to being workshy, he's quite clearly working very hard for this and it's paying off. He's consistently good and unlike the vast majority in the competition has a degree of credibility, the rough edges of which hopefully won't be rounded off too much.

He probably won't win because he is not very X-Factor but I don't think he's bothered about being Christmas number one.

I like him.

Does Louis Walsh know anything apart from crap boyband songs and a key change?

All she can do is clutch her guitar like a baby with a dummy. She doesn't belong in the x-factor.

Don't forget how she fell apart without it in bootcamp.
