I was lucky if I got 15 minutes on the pc last night by the time she had fast forwarded through all the adverts and guff. Even watching all the "acts"
Xfactor ruined a perfectly good two hour advert-a-thon.

Sing one song, advert, sing another song advert. Pain in the arse

It really is. Im getting to the stage now where I just watch things ive recorded so I dont get ads.

Especially films your sat on the edge of your seat wondering whats going to happen, ad.

But that is no where near as bad as xfactor. It is mind blowing just how little of a show there is.

Lets face it, she wasn't going to win and neither is he.

Big deal. It's only TV folks.
But it is also people's lives.

We always watch anything shown on ITV or ITV2 on our PVR. The2.5hr XF show on saturday was about an hour long when you take out the ads, the lead-up VTs etc. Just acts singing, and judges comments, that's it.

Oh, and Dermot doing it Gangnam style with a totally straight face - genius.

I'm not one for conspiracies but he had no idea who he was meant to save.

Made his decision which Dermot then questioned, to then have to declare "I want to take it to deadlock"
what made it all look worse was some guy slipping up next to Luis whispering to him during the deadlock performances. it screamed farce! the show was a complete sham.

Most of the tv audience are female. They will not vote for a pretty girl out of jealousy.

I'm truly amazed there's anyone left who doesn't do this. I haven't watched an advert since I've had Sky+. Not a single one. I don't even know when a lot of the programmes I watch are actually broadcast, or even what channel - they're all plussed for when I want them.

I saw the bloke creep up on louis and I thought - you are being told what to say...

louis then clearly said "I want to keep Carolyn" which she heard judging by her reaction then he flaked str8 away...

travesty - she was top totty too, and could sing.

jahmene - no way is he a good singer... too shouty and screamy...

ruined Imagine totally ruined it...

Why on earth would they send him home? He has got far more press than pretty much anyone else in XF this week, and that's what it's all about.
Exactly this .... The show is NOT a talent contest, it IS a ratings tool

Its all about doing anything to get as many viewers/press as possible....

Look at us discussing what happened ..... I understand its all over twitter too

Every shocked/disgusted viewer will be watching next week and more will get swept up....

As soon as people realise the above this type of programme will cease to be ..... then hopefully all this celebrity culture ' I just wanna be famous ' attitude will die

You don't need to win. JLS, Olly Murs, Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction ...and these are the ones who make the "big time", others can make a very good singing career at lower levels the further they get. Fame is tickets sold.

Louis is just a prize tw*t. He voted to keep Carolynne then changed his mind (either wilfully or like the muppet he is) and forced it to deadlock even though Dermatitis (who aslo forced the issue by pretending not to understand, doubtless fed by his earpiece) had said they had no time yet they had time for a deadlock. The whole point of a judge is to be incisive and to be ready with a choice and reasons.

I feel sorry for Gary who genuinely seems to want this to be a pukka respected singing contest but is being frustrated by Knickerless Shirtlifter and Louis Bigwig.

So it's all a fix. No surprises there.
I only skim listen now and am happy the 16 year old girl should win so won't spend too much more time listening to the intervening bit.

And who are we to complain anyway?

The voting public decided that she would be the least popular contestant by not voting for her.

They are then up in arms when their decision is upheld?

Can you imagine the furore if the judges ignored what the public wanted and picked an act to throw off.

If they didn't want Carolynn to leave why didn't they vote for her???

I actually wonder who votes for these shows. All my exs over the years have watched it but never voted.

No guys from work do, I can only conclude its fat, cosmetically challenged, single women aged 13 - 45.

and maybe younger girls.

You are joking, right?

It's all panto, good cop / bad cop sh!te. Barlow is as much a p(m)uppet in this as every single other person involved in this show.

Indeed.

In fact he was so disgusted by the whole thing he was back just in time for the start of the ITV2 after-show show.

The thing that irritated me was Louis hesitation. I'm not sure if it was genuine. They should do "sealed" votes to avoid this kind of situation, but obviously ITV (spawn of satan) will never go for that.
