PS Looking at Outsoucery share price since floating I'd be expecting Piers Linney to need a whip round for the cab ride home

I've noticed that this happens quite often with various contestants. Perhaps they under estimate the extra traffic coming their way which their basic website then can't handle?

Is that it? Just a photo frame? Their website is also down, not great for an online business.

The kids shoe girl is local but the Dragons didn't seem to ask any important questions? Even simple things like turnover, profit and costs. They never even bothered to ask about any of that, let alone things like "where are they made? In Britain or a sweatshop in China?", "How durable are they, can you draw on them once they've been scuffed up?"

Was surprised at Peter jones asking the Tank guy how environmentally friendly his tank was, thought he was a petrol head? Tank Guy's reply was brilliant.
Thought Kelly Hoppen (?) was a tree hugger but didn't seem interested in how eco friendly the shoes were?

Most of the pitch is not shown on the tv show.

I'm confused...in the pitches I heard Piers dismiss one idea because it lacked volume, thus the potential for big bucks. I think I've heard this from P Jones and Bannatyne too before now.

So when the radiator disaster pair get in front of them they're able to demonstrate sales of (IIRC) four UNITS last year and seven UNITS this year. AKA sod all.

This must have been covered in the research prior to filming (it's not like the talent shows, is it, with entrepreneurs queueing round the block?) so I imagine the only point is having a laugh at them.

Which proves it is just another entertainment show predicated on peoples greed and a bit of human sacrifice.

All very Reith'ian, I'm sure.

DD is now a shadow of the original concept, I would say its purely entertainment now as most of the ideas just don't stack up. Hamfatter anyone ?

IIRC there is a new production team which is from a light entertainment background as opposed to a "factual" one. Might explain it.

this spice2go bloke must have had some AMAZING locations for his dominos franchises that made him rich, because it wasn't his business sense or ideas that did!

What's he got that countless other Indian restaurant/takeaway chains don't already have. If he's centrally cooking all the food he may as well just go into the readymeal business, as that's what his takeaways will taste like.

Agree entirely! If one wants an Indian takeaway it has to be freshly prepared and cooked.

Loved the two lads presentation/product - think they ddi well with some free advertising.

These cereal toffs may well have tested their product at Old Street station, but with all the business incubator stuff going on round there that's a particularly hipster-tosser station. Try it at almost any other station and it will be an entirely different story!
