Oh.....dear.

Knocking down a 110 year old riverside boat house that matches all the others alongside the Thames and replace it with something that stands out like a sore thumb with a big sign above it that says "this is a sore thumb".

This design could possibly rock the boat as far as the neighbours are concerned.

The architect has essentially just farted in the lift before getting out, good work!

My thoughts too! Or have they all known for ages and the program is trying to make it look sudden.

Either way I love the design.

Disagree.

The place looks like a garden shed and by all accounts is falling down already. The new place seems fairly nifty and not exactly a sore thumb, just look at the last one for an example of that. Building design changes and moves on. Good on them.

Funny the architect moving on though, wonder of if his current wife had a day about working with the ex?

Underground swimming pool, nice.

Edited to add, ah compacted gravel. Troubles ahead.

Why, on a narrow site, would one design curves into it? It will compromise on the width of the build.

and I would not have thought you would be able to make much use of the space outside the curves

400 tonnes of concrete, definitely not a "green" build this week!
