Should be the same sort of process - notifications being handled by the device, not the app.

Try settings/notifications/apps or a similar path.

I've just binned the app off. Much quicker.

And me. Was in the process of downloading the app but it wanted access to my:
Location (fair enough)
Phone Sleep Settings (why?)
Phone Calls (WTF? No chance)
...so I aborted downloading the app.

It's a shame Dave isn't back. I know they had a bust up over girlfriends, but Dave was good value for the show. Whilst they can't fully compete with Radio 1 on a national scale, would be interested to see how they compete in London where they are on FM.
Really? I'm glad Dave isn't back. I never understood what he was there for, as he never really brought anything to the show. I just assumed he was there due to them being pals and some misplaced loyalty Chris had for him.

I thought he was quite good this morning. In the early days XFM used to be brilliant but it went very indi and I suspect lots of people with bushy beards ended up listening to it. It's not as good as Kerrang! was at it's peak, but it's much better than XFM ended up.

Agreed. He was just an extra bit of noise and as much "comedy" as telling someone they had 6 months to live.

I can understand why established listeners are upset that Jon Holmes has gone, he was a brilliant Breakfast Show presenter.
As an Established listener, I was upset they replaced Danny Wallace with Jon Holmes, who I honestly thought was utterly terrible and caused me to stop listening!

I just installed the Radio X app which wants to send me push notifications. It has no option other than 'OK' but says they can be turned off in the Settings. Erm.....nowhere in Settings to turn off so uninstalling the app. I don't WANT push notifications for competitions or artist info etc; why do they insist on bundling this crap? It's counterproductive and the fastest way to get me to uninstall an app...
I did exactly the same!! Annoying wasn't it?!

Let us know if you find a way to switch them off. smile
Assuming you are both on iphones.

Settings > Notifications > Scroll down to the Radio X app and turn them off there.
Android here.
Ditto, having reinstalled the app to check, all you can do is block notifications.

I was bored for a moment, read their t&c's and then sent them a strongly worded enquiring email. smile

. . . and then uninstalled the app for the second time!

For Android, do Settings > Apps > (select the app) > Uncheck "Notifications".

That should sort it.

Shame Comedy Dave isn't there - surely they can be professional about it (Chris didn't bone his mates bird did he they split then as they were good friends she went on a group holiday with him there.... He may or may not have boned her while on holiday but it's doubtful)

What does Comedy Save do these days?

^^running his own production company. This is (according to Chris Moyles) the reason why he won't be joining.

Listening this morning, so nice to hear him back on the radio and its like he never left!(apart from the missing members of the gang frown )

The adverts don't even bother me really! There aren't any really fking annoying ones like my local radio, theyre all just generic pish.

Thought it was classic Moyles when he was trying to run down and interrupt Andrew Castle on Smooth FM hehe

Out of interest, a lot of us had nowhere to go when Moyles' show ended on Radio 1 and it was widely predicted that those in the 25-40ish bracket were left out in the cold. Did many of you find a new home?

I, as predicted, haven't listened to the Radio full-stop on my commute and have moved over to podcasts for the journey. Unfortunately I don't have DAB in the car and reception is shonky at best on my new commute through a valley, so Radio X is out of the question.
I found www.teamrock.com and never looked back smile Have it through my 3 mobile in the van, via either tunein or their own App, and through the radioplayer site on the work computer.

With 'listen again', is there a way to jump forward through the programme?

It keeps crashing and then starting from the beginning again (with no obvious way to pick up where you left off).

There is a black bar with a timer on it. If you click on the black bar it jumps to that point.
