Just got around to listening to the 'play again' (I'm not in the UK this week) and it was great! Very happy that Chris Moyles is back.

I've been listening to yesterdays show on catch up and agree it's like they've never been away.
I think I prefer Dom in the sidekick + news reader role than Dave too.

I like the dj's, not so keen on the lean towards grunge music, but at least it gives us a new option to listen to.

Now listening to the full second show on listen again, (I say listen again - I downloaded the show and I'm now listening with no lag whatsoever) A void in my life has been filled since he's returned. biggrin

Does Listen Again include the ads?

It does I'm afraid, I just fast forward the ads when I listen on download. Hopefully they'll do a downloadable podcast of all the best bits once a week and cut the ads out. wink

the dark cloud of generic pop-fluff mediocrity that currently engulfs it. I'd love to have them back together for a regular show.

Oh, and I 'listened again' to the new Chris Moyles show last night. It's like he was never away. I like that he's got Dom and Pippa there with him, that you still feel the air of controlled chaos in the studio, and I don't want to sound mean toward Mr Vitty, but I don't really miss 'Comedy' Dave one little bit. Far better than I feared it might be, and reassuringly familiar.
Very much agree. Love the relationship/interaction between Chris and Dom - far better than Chris and Dave ever was.

And having listened to Radio 1 for many years, it's brilliant listening to a radio station that doesn't play the same bag of songs over and over and over.....

I listened for the first time briefly this morning and wondered why he sounded different - does he not talk over a 'bed' of music now? I'm sure there was always quiet music behind him on Radio 1.

I wonder how many people have now tuned into the radio because Moyles is on in the morning. I thought I'd usually just listen to him and switch over but the music is brilliant! Ive found myself listening to it and the other DJ's are pretty okay.

I love Chris' humour, like saying 'watch out for Pulp, quality up coming band' hehe

Listening now, great music so far and it's like he never went away.

I know he had his critics but myself and the wife always liked tuning into Radio 1 in the morning when he was on.

Just a shame I don't have DAB in the car.

I love it even more when people think he is being serious (fb pages are an entertaining read biggrin)

Ok, so this morning we ditched Radio X in the office. Too much inane drivel which we started to find very distracting and therefore irritating. The music is great but there's too little of it. When you're trying to work, music in the background is fine but snippets of broadly pointless talking starts to grate very quickly.

That's a shame. I think the music is that good that any interruptions are well worth it, and I find the segways/links/inbetween bits pretty good in any case.

We've been on Magic since about half 9 and it's tolerable. Plenty of tunes which is the main thing.

True, over a decade ago. I didn't listen to him at the time - was far too busy at work.
