Hadn't Dan Ackroyd appeared as a major name is some other films BEFORE then anyway?
fk me Eric, are you this much fun at parties?
Since you're in default smart arse mode, Ackroyd was returning the favour Spielberg did by appearing in The Blues Brothers. Probably not obscure enough for you to bother with eh?
Anyway, the thread title is "actors who were in other films". Nowhere does it mention any hierarchy based on their fame or popularity, but never mind, you crack on with your trademark condescending know-it-all tone Treacle....

Thank goodness you edited that comment - otherwise it might have been rude and abusive.
I know.....it's terrible when people spell "Spielberg" incorrectly.

Karl Pilkington in the first Underworld film. I can't find any other reference to this on the iinternet but I have paused it and I'm sure it's Pilkington as an extra in the subway in the opening scenes.

Watched The Living Daylights the other day and was sure I recognised General Pushkin's lady-friend but couldn't remember where from, spent ages working out that she (Virginia Hey) was 'warrior woman' in Mad Max 2
It really confused me when the American arms dealer (who was killed near the end) also played Bond's CIA contact in Goldeneye.

James Bond, A View to a Kill when he's hanging on the back of an American Fire Truck, and the ladder is swinging about, he kicks the hats off 2 guys in a convertable...

it's not confirmed on IMDB but i've pause the film and it's Cannon and Ball.

Yep, IMDB is always close to hand when watching movies, for this kind of cross-referencing game.

I only recently discovered that the nerdy scientist in Area 51 in Independence Day was Brent Spiner, the guy who played Data in Star Trek: TNG. I guess everyone else knew but didn't tell me. getmecoat

Ewen Bremner (Spud in Trainspotting) was also in Pearl Harbour and Black Hawk Down. I have watched them both and didn't realise either!
