shocking title aint it but its something that intrigues me for some unknown reason.
im not talking about well known actors having starring roles in several films, more of big actors in background roles or people you never knew were in such film.
when looking for films to watch i often find myself going through www.imdb.com seeing what actor/actress have started in what films and come across some things i always find interesting.

such as i never knew will ferrel was in the origonal austin powers, despite watching the film about hunder times i never recognised him.

anyone care to share their finds?

I thought Nimoy was excellent in Fringe. Impressed by Joshua Jackson aswell in Fringe, from remembering his days in Dawson's Creek.

Leonard Nimoy and Bill Shatner both played roles in the same episode of The Man from UNCLE, though weren't onscreen together.

Speaking of Austin Powers, I had to imdb to believe that Mike Myers really was in Inglorious Basterds

Another one was when I watched the remake of true grit, one of the characters looked really familiar but I couldn't figure out who it was. Bothered me for weeks until I IMDB'd it and realised he played the older brother of the main character in the goonies.

People have to startr somewhere.

It's a long difficult slog for professional actors. Indeed, most of them never make it and are condemned to finding other "normal" work to supplement their acting income. Most people who finally break through into public awareness will have spent three to four years at drama school, and possibly another decade doing touring rep and taking bit-parts and extras work in TV and films.

As a result, if and when they become more recognised or famous, it can be quite fun to spot them playing small parts in films and TV BEFORE they were famous.

Watched The Living Daylights the other day and was sure I recognised General Pushkin's lady-friend but couldn't remember where from, spent ages working out that she (Virginia Hey) was 'warrior woman' in Mad Max 2

Talking of vietnam war films.

Don't forget Laurence fishbourne in Apocalypse now.

And if you don't blink you can see Harrison ford in the conversation.

However I am sure i saw him in an early vietnaam film. I think it was 'go tell the spartans' but whatever it was I saw him in was such a small part he is not even credited. Anybody help here?
