It's a 4.2 as well not a 3.8.

A brand new sunroof you say? That's the clincher for me!! wink

I just burst out laughing when it showed the open sunroof from inside the car! Loooks like it's from a 90's Fiesta.

Makes all of my complaints about wheeler dealers pale into insignificance.

What a numpty pranging the car like that and I'm speechless that he even considered using shocks from a scrap yard
Not to mention "rotors" from a skip...

It's left hand drive. They paid £12k for it. What !
My uncle sold a non running California Etype with a smashed up bonnet and no interior that was far far worse than that for £9K when they weren't fetching anything near what they do now.

Actually I prefer gunmetal grey. That happens to be the colour my car should be, however, some idiot painted it red.
What a shame as IMO, the darker colours do seem to do justice to the shape of the E-Type.

And he had the temerity to say "we put a better sunroof on it".

It looked like they'd nicked it from an Austin Allegro.

This was the biggest load of carp ever.

I don't even want to enter the comp to win the car -terrible.

As for the £30K valuation - only by Dreamworks!

It was a Britax sunroof I think. I can't believe they didn't strip the shell and paint it properly...arches, underneath, doors, boot, bonnet off etc.

Who ever fitted scrap parts such as dampers and discs to a restoration project!!

This is about fake tension. The cost is not the point of the show it's whoever is sponsoring it.

Seems like a similar format to that American Hot Rod program a few years back, at least some of their motors were full body restores, abet with some ste engineering.

Did they weld the rusted out floor in the Etype ?

Anybody else completely underwhelmed when they opened the bonnet for the valuation and it was manky and dusty, not shiny like you'd expect after a 'restoration'?

Couldn't agree more. When I can afford to respray mine it's going back to gunmetal grey. Can't really justify it right now.
