AARRRGGHH - I'd forgotten just how monumentally irritating that gobs*te was...and lumpen Mawio seems to have willingly become just a plank...
Still, uber cheap programme making (not even seeing the upholstery end of the job etc etc).
As for the talc in the air vents - do all restorers do this on their profit centres?

Said it before and I’ll say it again: CCR is the finest comedy on TV at the moment by a fair margin - I actually bellowed laughter at the “this car is a deathtrap, but stay tuned to find out how to win it, eh?” moment last night and I’ve not done that at a TV show for years!
I find it strangely compelling viewing though... you know you shouldn’t watch, you know your blood pressure will rise, you know that it’s all staged poorly and that the main characters are irritating little pricks, you KNOW that it’s complete and utter crap yet you find yourself transfixed like a rabbit in the headlights of an oncoming juggernaut.
Just HOW much worse can they make this programme? Every time I think they’ve hit rock bottom, they manage to surprise me yet again.
Keep up the good work boys... Oh, and if you’re welding a panel onto a car I’d have thought that it would be best to secure BOTH ends before starting. Yes, YOU, you with the mig torch in your hand, happily grinning away whilst the other end of the front valance you are attempting to weld flaps merrily in the breeze.
Magnificent stuff!

More than the usual number of pre-arranged "comedy" moments this week. When they discovered the rotten bulkhead on the first car the acting of Bernie and Mario was to their usual standard, but the other "mechanics" (I can hardly bring myself to type the word) hammed it up like kids at a primary school nativity play. Script? What script?
And the exhaust "falling off" in the spray booth! "We all knew the rubbers were rotten" - well maybe so, but an exhaust doesn't just fall off along its whole length in one go like that. Talk about "set up scenario".
They spoke about fitting the soft-top from the 1st car to the second one, but did you notice how opaque the rear window was? We were never shown the soft-top again - I reckon they dumped it.
Possibly the funniest one yet. I understand how some of you get annoyed, but it's my comedy highlight of the week.

its clearly a comedy pure and simple, my kids loved the powder in the air vents gag, rolling around the floor they were, more in commom with Charlie Cairoli than anything else . I do wonder what these guys do between series as it must be impossible to be taken seriously within the classic car arena..or in fact any profession
actually, come Christmas, they would be great as Ugly Sisters - coming to a panto near you :-)

This made me think again about letting it wind me up and I've decided it is worth watching , fake disasters and all. because it makes us smile
Incidentally, I loved "For the love of cars" last week but found this weeks a bit to serious and didn't really enjoy it. No body else in the family were interested and drifted away.

What a pair of pillocks. It just gets worse. One of the most, if not the most, annoying car 'restoration' series ever made.
Utter garbage.
Utter garbage.
Caught 5 mins of last nights episode by chance. Just awful.

Genuinely, it is more like a pantomime than a proper car/restoration show.BigBen said:

I thought the soft top looked dark green when they fitted it and thought it wasn't the one off the other car.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
