Classic Car Rescue, tonight 8pm, C5.
Discussion
Just started watching my recording from last night, and it's already made me laugh and cry at the same time. The narrator says they've gone to Italy to buy a true Italian classic - he says "what will it be? Ferrari? Lamborghini? Bugatti?"
Someone tell him where Molsheim is.
(Yes, yes, I know Ettore was born in Italy....)
PS the "Tony" is Tony Castle-Miller of Middle Barton Garage. He really does know these cars.

More pedantry - the narrator referred to the Fiat 500 being a rally-winner. I think he probably means the Polish driver Sobislaw Zasada who won rallies in a Steyr-Puch 650 variant. It was a LOT faster than a 500.
I think at that point narrator was talking about the Mini.iva cosworth said:

I think at that point narrator was talking about the Mini.We all agree that the show is a bag of s**t, so I reckon each week we should just use this thread to pick holes in it and have a laugh at the show's expense.
Why didn't Bernie just put in the later 650 engine, or is his vast knowledge of cars so slim that he didn't know about this option? And why the new seat vinyl, when the seat frames hadn't even been cleaned, let alone painted? And those wheels! And they hadn't checked the clutch??

Steyr as in the weapons manufacturer, and Puch, makers of the infamous Puch Maxi? Who'd have thought it! Good trivia, thanks Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
