Seen a few trailers for this.
Know nothing about it...but it looks like a telly adaptation of the Green Arrow, a b-list DC comic character in the same vein as Batman.
If so, it may be good...it may stink as most telly adaptations do of comic book characters...but the odd one shines through....

yeah does look very interesting. they have been planning it for years. originally it was going to be a smallville spin off. which by the looks of it, it still is but with a different guy playing Oliver Queen.

I do find most of these 'low-rent', especially if they end up on the Sci-Fi channel or Watch.
But I do hope it is watchable.
I also hope it is not another forumalic procedural type show where the villain gets his comeuppance at the end of every identical episode, like Alcatraz or similar.

Just finished the first episode... Really enjoyed that and looking forward to seeing where they go with it. Far grittier than I was expecting, and better for it.

Gretch, who wasn't too fussed about watching, said she was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed it.

Bring on the next one.

Watched this mainly to laugh at how bad I expected it to be but found myself really liking it. I know nothing about the IP but still found it good, a lot better than I expected.

I also enjoyed this, not really a fan of smallville but this so far seems more grown up and as said above grittier. Would like to see more flash backs about how he survived etc.

Will be watching the next which I see is online so I hope no one posts spoilers.

It certainly has the makings of some enjoyable nonsense, particularily good parkour scenes for a TV show! smile

Is it just me that would rather see a series about his time on the island?

It was mildly entertaining.

Although I haven't watched the last series of 'Lost' yet, and felt Tommy's comment at dinner a little disturbing. *

You know what they should do, they should produce a series, and maybe feature some flashback type stuff... wink

  • Despite being my theory from the start. Please. No further spoilers

I don't mean in flashbacks... I mean have a whole series like that... A bit like that series 'Crusoe' which was great to my tiny mind. I can't help bit feel that going after a suit every week is going to get dull quote quick.

It must be me but I thought it was poor. The story seems to be a rich party kid gets shipped wrecked on an island where he seems to be transformed into a ninja/Jason bourne type killing machine !

I guess the rest of the series will show how he learnt all this but it's too unbelievable given the time he was on the island which looks to be about a year or so.

Well it's an adaptatin of a comic (Green Arrow) I believe so a certain acceptance might be required.

And I'm sure the show said he had been missing/presumed dead for 5yrs?

Its not going to win an Emmy....But I enjoyed the pilot. Hopefully they will explore the Island more

I did chuckle at his hi tech lair set up. Not sure how he learned all that on the island smile
