The cottage on the other hand had some amazing engineering - though the 'kitchen' didn't seem to have much in the way of facilities, and I wonder if water from the shower gets through the gaps in the walls. Very very clever though!
£14k for it, I don't think you would be able to get anyone in to do it for less than £30K

It could've been worse, the old chap could've actually painted it yellow.Although I have no idea why he decided to show off his Robin by putting his head in the footwell.

I enjoyed the first episode but as posted the robin was poor, never going to work sleeping like that.

I was also triggered when he talked about painting it yellow like Del Boy's. Del had a Regal.

I think he just wanted to be on TV. Didn't utilize the empty engine bay for anything, and it just felt very basic and half arsed. Especially the shower!

I have a feeling that when he went to paint it, either the only colour they had at The Range was red, or the yellow paint was more expensive. I liked the pun he made with the writing on the side but you can barely read it because of the red. Which makes me think the red paint was forced on him somehow.

it was pretty rubbish. In his slight defence, I think the engine bay might have been a space for the trailer front wheel to pull up into.

He should have bought two and mounted one on top of the other but upside down, windscreen to windscreen. Then cleared the interior panels, looks like two on the outside but all open space inside.

Then set fire to it.

Only 4 episodes on more4, I have watched them all and they never finished the series due to lockdown.

Will be interesting to see if they do get to finish it.

A fun idea but a lot of work for something that was fundamentally too small I thought.

When he finished he had less space in the camper than if he'd have kept it as a single T4 and converted it.

For £12k he could have bought a decent spec big van Transit, Sprinter or LDV and converted it to a high spec and still had change.

Plenty of off grid folk have amazing vans and they did them for less than half that. Lost in Europe is one.

Then you have Stealth Urban Campervan Man, he kitted out a Peugeot Partner for £1500 and has been living in it for 3 years.

Airship in the forest was lovely as was the train carriage. T4 was awful. It didn’t flow and apart from the zebra print bedding and leopard print cushion wasn’t attractive in my opinion. Lot of money and time for something that won’t last them long as a family with son and daughter. Each to their own though and I’m sure he’s proud of his creation.

Next week crazy cat lady van!
