I can relate to this. I remember watching Jar Jar Binks for the first time and wanting the ground to open up and swallow me. I ended up watching it through the fingers of my palm, placed over my face at the horror and the embarrassment of it all. Its just a film, its there to waste 2-3hrs of your life and then largely forget about it an hr after its finished and you are back home, other than to randomly ponder it every now and then.

To you its just a film, to a lot of people it grabbed their attention like nothing else. How else do you explain the films popularity over 20 years later and things like the 501st legion http://www.501st.com/mission.phpGood grief.
I have during my commute just watched A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and will be cracking on with Return of the Jedi tomorrow. I have a friend that was a massive fan of the films and was an extra in I, II & III one of only a handful to do so.
