They look a little short for Storm Troopers.

I'll get my coat.

One question, do Wookies not age?
When Chewy appeared iun the last film, he had certainly grown quite a gut compared to the originals. The originals were along time ago, so that is fair enough. Also Peter Mayhew is not a well man, so I'm guessing we won't be seeing Chewy run around much.

Wookies are meant to grey with age and I'm surprised they haven't done that in this film. Look at the terrible Star Wars Holiday Special for the evidence frown

A Star Destroyer - And at 1:27 a Super Star Destroyer, upside down?

Tingles and a bloody tear in my eye - can't believe how that's got to me so much. Very excited ... I was 14 when Star Wars was released, I'm as excited now at 52. Hopefully the last 3 can be forgotten at long last smile
It hits you right in the guts.

I was 6 & my husband was barely born & we had a similar reaction if that makes you feel any better? biggrin

I try to forgive the prequels as much as possible, but by god this looks so, so much better - I know it's only a trailer and it might be a flashy looking film with an appalling story and terrible dialog - but so far it's got everything right that the prequals had wrong - it looks right, it looks dusty and dirty, stuff looks like it's seen some action - Han Solo's couple of seconds screen time alone had more on-screen charisma than the entire prequel series.

My friends and I were born in '77 we all grew up with the originals, we all went to school together and played star wars in the play ground, watched the films with our tea endlessly and had all the toys - we're all going together to see it at Xmas and taking our kids with us - I'm properly, really excited.

Erm, did I just watch a Tie Fighter and X Wing race up the exhaust of a crashed out Star Destroyer?!?

Wow cool
Wasnt it the falcon?
The Falcon was going up the exhaust of the Star Destroyer chased by the Tie fighter. Epic stuff.

unless:

a) the other end was blown out
b) it had rusted away
c) they do a u-turn.

I was disappointed with myself this morning (yes it happens often), I'd promised myself to not be interested in this new film.

Saw the new trailer, got a bit giddy.
