Got that recorded, ready to watch over the weekend. After watching his priview for his new film, I thought it could be an interesting film!

Heat is on tonight at 9pm on Film 4! Think I'll be watching that!

Watched American Pie Reunion last night. Back on form and some very funny moments in there, Stifler on top form and some good moments with Jim and his dad.

8/10 from me

Jessie and Celeste forever - a couple getting divorced whilst remaining friends, a superior romcom less the rom, some very funny moments, good soundtrack, well worth a viewing 7/10

Tonight going to see The Man with the Iron Fists - with Russell Crowe - anyway heard anything about it?

I think it also stars Lucy Liu I've been a fan of hers since her performance as a deranged S&M freak in Payback. Make sure you post a review, thanks.

Prometheus - Loads of little allusions to TV and movie sci-fi. 2001, Red Dwarf, The Fifth Element, even Thunderbirds. Clever use of CGI's - Mr. Weyland addressing the crew. In terms of horror & suspense, not a patch on the first two Alien films.

I didn't think much of one of the crew just finding another alien ship, with the nelp of a talking head.

But why did the aliens want to destroy us?

Have you seen the X Factor lately?

Case and point.

magic mike - lots of gyrating men action but not bad but one more for the ladies

bernie - very good jack black comedy

Paparazzi - a mel gibson stamped film a bit cheesy but knowing he had a hand in it makes good viewing due to his personal life

Sightseers I'm giving this a 9. Really really enjoyable....dark, violent, sexy (In it's own way), properly funny/edgy, well scripted, well acted, beautifully shot... Of it's genre it's top class. From the same bloke who did Kill List.
I'll be getting this when its on DVD....it'll stand up to repeated viewing no problem. Not often I give a 9 smile

OK - its an enjoyable mess really - humourous and violent pastiche of 70s kung fu movies, Tarantino's name is plastered on the marketing, although his involvement is minimal in reality but huge in influence. The opening scene is a brutal slo-mo heavy kung fu fight with many knives over which the sound of The Wu-Tang Clan's 1993 single "Shame on a Nigga" pumps - if this sounds like heaven to you then you will enjoy the rest of the movie.

The plot is minimal, the script is cheesy, the music is heavy rap/hip hop, the action is violent, the fun is plentiful. Think Death Proof / Kill Bill with added fromage and none of the Taratino wit or clever dialogue, and lots of very attractive Oriental ladies. And knives - lots of knives!

A brain-out-before-entering 7/10.

Dispassionate does not mean dislike, it means not influenced by emotion.

If I could be bothered to look I'm sure my like/dislike ratio is about 2/1. The truth is people don't like it when something they empathize with and deeply enjoy

is criticised harshly by someone else and sometimes they take it personally - but really they just need to grow up a bit.

Are you having a bubble, someone posted up a high review for Total Recall and you went off on one... Pretty weird to be honest.

premium rush. risk taking cycle delevery bloke gets hunted through new york.
very good film. some good action and funny in places.

red dawn (remake). a lot less cheesy than i thought it would be. plenty of explosions and gunfights and a baddy you love to hate.
for once a prety decent remake.

Love this film! Every time it's on, volume up and breathe in the atmosphere. The background music in this really sets up the film. Cannot wait for the next film to come out! Really enjoyed watching it again last night!

Another from me, Bourne Legacy at long last. I enjoyed it, not in the same vain as Bourne ultimatum which I watched earlier yesterday too but still a great film nonetheless!

Drive - I don't understand the acclaim this got. The acting was OK but the plot was dull, the violence too graphic and the cliff scene ridiculous.
Was his car made of granite or something? Major front end impact and both lights working with apparently no damage?
