Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. 9/10.

Try Hobo with a Shotgun, very much the same sort of thing (with Rutger Hauer).

I'm going to watch this tomorrow.

Watched the new Godzilla last night...wasn't too bad for what it was. Good special effects but rather predictable - 6/10
And by predictable you mean a giant monster of which countless movies have previously been made so the plot is a well known one, and this monster destroys everything in its path predictable? Lol

Me too. Mitty was okay, with exceptional filming, but the Night was funnier.

I did think that as I typed it lol.

Different ending to the last one, mind. Was still worth a watch though smile

Good film or different film, still not sure but worth a punt, available on Love film. It's called, 'Wake In Fright' 1970's Australian new wave(apparently) featuring a seedy Donald Pleasance, copious amounts of beer and testosterone, a place called the Yabba and a live kangaroo hunt. Not recommended for Skipee fans.

By what measure? laughs?
I didn't take Mitty to be a comedy...is has more heart to it, with a laugh here and there..

I thought night at the museum was ok. I do prefer films with a bit of heart though.

As Veeayt said, the filming was exceptional. Where he long boards down the road towards the village cool

The bit with Space Oddity where he runs for the helicopter was a proper heart in mouth, dust in my eye moment for me. I actually got goosebumps.

(The only bit that really annoyed me was that they kept referring to the song as "Major Tom")

The Way Way Back - Simple enough storyline. The film focuses of a kid, who's on holiday with his mum and her douchey boyfriend (Steve Carell). He can't be arsed hanging around them so he wanders off, finds a local waterpark, makes friends with the manager, and gets a summer job there. The manager and staff build this guy's confidence up so he can confront the douchey stepdad. The end, pretty much.

Star of the film has got to be Sam Rockwell/his character. He made an average film excellent.

I just watched Elysium too. The reviews were a bit disappointing so I wasn't sure what to expect but I really enjoyed it. I love the weapons in it (and District 9).

Sharlto Copley was a brilliant villan. Weapons were very cool and i really liked the way real world vehicles were used even though it was set in the future.

We watched this on Saturday night and really enjoyed it. good ol' fashioned monster movie - even the kid wasn't annoying! (remember the child banshees in Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds!)

And Godzilla whoops ass!
