Like most people in their early 20's I love The Inbetweeners and whilst the first movie was good I never thought it was on par with the TV series. I found the sequel to be a lot funnier though it did sort of suffer from a few moments of "nothingness". Theres not much I can say without spoiling it but I highly recommend it to fans of the series!

Han shoots first. I find watching this film irritating, due to the improvements made by Mr Lucas. I did watch A Fist Full Of Dollars beforehand, which entertained me a great deal.

Tombstone was on sky movies last night, probably one of my favourite westerns. Val Kilmer's performance as Doc Holiday is superb.

For its specification/criteria/brief/audience etc I'd say yes it's up there with the best (of animated films).

Beautifully animated with glorious attention to detail, a decent story (and if one has ever played with Lego, something they can relate to...even as the bad guy!), laugh out loud moments, plenty to keep children and adults amused. Up there with the best of Disney.

So yes, I'll stand by 10/10 (or at least 9.5/10)


Something a bit out there:

Crystal Fairy and the Magical Cactus

Slightly left field film about a chap travelling in Chile whose aim is to take some psychedelic cactus and the associated road trip leading up to it. A decent enough film with some funny moments. Enjoyed it.

City of god, found randomly on Netflix. Its a foreign film with subtitles but turned out to be a great film, well worth 2 hours of your time.

Watched 'Shall We Dance' (the original 1996 Japanese version) on Saturday night. Very low key, but on the whole a wonderful little film. 8.5/10. Can't imagine what the Richard Gere remake must be like....

Revenge film with a western setting. Some interesting scenes ( I'm going to get st for this but reminded me if vanishing point) basically a couple of people on a journey with added violence.

Good performance from brosnan.

Warrior King 2 - another Tony Jaa movie. Some really shonky sfx but it fun and the stuff Jaa does (even if he does use wires?) is insane
