Expendables 2.

I was not expecting much but actually enjoyed seeing all the old action hero's in one film.

7/10.

About Time.

Bit daft and soppy (for a man) but with enough humour to keep me entertained. Actually quite enjoyed it!

Inbetweeners 2

Fan of the show, quite liked the first film but this was dire. It started off reasonably OK but went down hill quickly. I don't expect Citizen Kane but the story/script was very poor then it just kind of ended. 4/10

K-PAX

Seen it before but a great film. Very strong performances from the two lead actors. 8.5/10

is it worth catching captain america 2 if you thought the first one was terrible and are getting a little jaded by all these marvel films?

I didn't think Captain America 2 was _that_ good. If you want your faith restored in Marvel films, GotG is definitely the film for you.

TBH, I felt the same, but then, I am not a Marvel fanboy. I do feel that Hollywood is at an all time low, creatively, and relying on Marvel film after film to keep it on life-support.

Outing to see "Sin City (2) A Dame To Kill For"

Whoop!

Well what would you expect? Obviously if the first film wasn't for you - you can switch off now!

More of the same, but better in several areas. I saw it in 2D - and would be interested in anyone out there who considered 3D worthwhile...

10/10 for the imagery, the sound track, the imagination, the actors. Some of the detail, especially, was exquisite and even better than "part 1". Some of the acting performances were really great, although I was already looking forward to a few. The cars (this is PH after all) were more attractive than "the broads". The colour treatment was a little less restrained than "SC1", but none-the-less stunning for it.

2/10 for the story. Not even as good as the first one in the franchise; didn't really have you waiting for anything to hang together. There were two actors especially who were obviously keen to be involved and got their short parts just shoehorned in, yet weren't developed beyond a short series of items then "boom". The opening was great, but not tied up properly, but otherwise very predictable. Otherwise "lacking" in the storytelling department.

But those two balance out to a very solid score for me - although I am biased, and did love the first:

9/10.

Don't waste any time - get out there and see it!
I don't know how you can give a film 9/10 when the story was only 2/10...unless it was Scarlett Johansson doing naked star jumps for 2 hours ;-)

While people keep watching this st they will keep making them. Why not watch some proper films instead of children's cartoons?

Watched this last night and thought the same, no where near as funny as the first one.
Was watchable but on a whole a bit of a let down.

I don't think so. For almost a decade and a half there has been Marvel/DC Comic film after Marvel/DC comic film, reboot after reboot (Spiderman, Batman, Superman..).

I was more of a Warlord and Buster comic fan when I was young, Marvel always seemed way too American and cheesy. But, I am in the minority, as these films keep being pumped out like bland sausages in a sausage factory.....

I watched 'Let's Be Cops' last night. I thought it was really good, I haven't laughed properly at a new film for a while. I would definitely recommend it for a fun/slightly silly film.

6.5/10

Here's the trailer for those of you who haven't seen it.

Hmm!

a) that storyline wouldn't have qualified as 2/10

b) I can't recall ANY star jumps when anyone was naked

c) I think it was Eva Green, not Scarlett Johansson, who was naked

and d) I cited 8 points where I'd give it 10/10 and just one 2/10 - you do the math!

Marvel!!!!!!!!!!!

DC Comics just curled up into a ball and died. (They are responsible for Batman and Superman and tend to be far more dark and serious in tone.)

The recent acceleration in Marvel films has been post their acquisition by Disney who recognised that there was an incredible backlog of characters with built-in fan bases that would be guaranteed money-makers if they got funding - which Marvel alone couldn't do but with Uncle Walt was no problem.

This is exacerbated by the trend towards sequels. Sequels are probably the least risky venture in the entire Big Budget Hollywood repertoire.

How hard a decision was it to greenlight Iron Man 2??
Or just ask Michael Bay...

Am I missing something, if you don't like that genre of film, don't watch it.

I'm not a superhero fan, the only one I like is Batman.

I tried watching Superman and The Avengers but they weren't for me so I don't watch any.

I'd don't like rom coms so I don't watch them.

Talking about Marvel, I wanna see a Death's Head film but most people have no idea who he/it is.

Watched Jack Reacher yesterday.

Pretty enjoyable, not sure I agree with Tom Cruise, who is relatively short, playing a character who is tall, but he did a fantastic job.

Storyline is interesting, some of the characters were boring as hell but they can't all be perfect.

7/10 from me.
