Ok,

I don't like Glee.
I'm not a 15 yo girl.
I have a general distaste for high school movies.
Idem for chick flicks.

I really, really enjoyed Pitch Perfect.

Wolf of Wall Street

Enjoyed this but felt a little too long. Did not help improve my opinion of bankers but looks like they had a proper laugh! 8/10.

Don Jon

Didn't expect to like it after reading the synopsis but was actually pleasantly surprised. Some good LOL scenes, ending was cliché but expected (he'll be back on the porn in 3 months!). Not bad at all. 7/10

Seriously,it's not a 7. 2 or 3 at most.

Disagree. I think it's better than average (but that's probably saying more about the general standard of films of late). I enjoyed it more than I expected but I'd say it struggled towards the end as (as mentioned) the cliché ending was set up.

Had a weekend with a couple of issues which were hard going in my opinion:
Zero Theorem & Transcendence
Neither were great.

FWIW, I'm not one of them. Didn't really enjoy the movie tbh. I like JGL and Scarlett but they didn't do it for me in this movie.

IMDB is not the best argument for scoring a film. several episodes of iCarly get more than that.
Its simply too biased by the typical audience of a genre.

I watched Captain Phillips at the weekend and didn't think it was amazing.

Between OK and good, but not great imo.

"Chaos consumes a small town when a chemical facility explodes releasing a deadly toxin. Moments after the leak, the town's residents show signs of mutation, causing the military to quarantine the area leaving any survivors helpless and trapped inside. The story follows Jim, a young man isolated within the red zone, as he eludes flesh eating zombies in an attempt to win back his freedom."

Not bad, I liked it. Noticed a mistake with the rifle's scope too. wink

Transformers 4

Nothing new from Mr Bay except maybe the extended run time. I have no childhood history with the franchise to compare it with so these films stand on their own... Except they don't stand very proud.

Loud, over-long, story-free zone. But for all that it wasn't bad so I would recommend it... to those who like that sort of thing. It would NOT bear a repeat viewing though.

6/10 maybe.

I quite liked the others but his one I'd give a 4.

If Stanley Tucci hadn't been in it the score would be a 2. Avoid.

This.

Worst film I've seen all year. And I've seen plenty.

Had they put it on backwards? I'm starting to think they do it on purpose now

Really?! Stanley Tucci doubles the score? I thought he was one of the worst in it, his character, his script and his acting.
