P.p.p.p.s actually the more I think the more I feel annoyed that a film so up itself that makes so little sense has fooled so many.
I haven't seen it yet, but that's exactly what I have come to expect from Christopher Nolan.

Finally saw Gravity last night on DVD. Pretty good I thought, must have looked very impressive on the big screen. 7.5 bits of space debris out of 10

Star Trek new film, rather good actually, didn't take itself too seriously but serious enough to be credible...pity that Cleggs' character was a bit ott but a minor point.

solid 8/10 from me

Avengers (again) it's really quite good in a brain out kind of way, doesn't take itself too seriously. Loki and Hulk steal the show, Black Widow and Hawkeye didn't feel quite so pointless this time around but still a bit out classed among super soldiers and demi-gods.

A solid 8/10. One of the best superhero films.

Well filmed, nicely scripted and very well acted but much like Nolans other sci fi mind bender Inception I have no desire to watch again.
that was another one I really couldn't get the love for - really wanted to like it, but in the end thought 'meh'

Brilliant film and one I have and will watch again and again. Good soundtrack too, the Veils track is awesome.

Now for my film of the year.

The Great Budapest hotel. Just watched it and want to watch it again. Cinematic, enchanting, engaging and sunning with a cast you would not believe, every face is a huge star.

We watched The Judge last night. R Downey Jr playing R Downey Jr (which in my very humble opinion is still pretty good) and Robert Duvall playing the judge himself.

Thought it was pretty good really, no oscars or anything but worth watching maybe a solid 6.5/10

Went to see Interstellar last night. I can't decide whether I really liked it or it was just OK, most confused therefore can't give it a score yet.....

Got around to watching Edge of Tomorrow last night, Wasn't sure what to expect but in the end I was totally gripped.

Not a new concept but so well done, Groundhog day with a computer game twist.

9/10 definitely!

Machine Gun Preacher

Really enjoyed it, Russell Crowe was very good. Based on a true story and it's very emotional/thought provoking.

8.5/10

Grudge match.

Nice mix of comedy, character flaws and the usual drama.

Better than expected.

Wild Target

Old Bill Nighy film (Martin freeman, Emily Blunt smile )

Amusing in his dry humoured way.

Wish I Was Here - enjoyed it more than Garden State. I know a lot of people have panned it as something that's trying to be too serious but being wishy washy but I really liked the storyline. Good soundtrack plus Turkleton makes an appearance along with a few other actors from Scrubs.

Saw the imitation game last night.

Great film.

Was made even better as my grandfather was involved in a minor way during WW2.

He worked for the war office as a civilian monitoring german morse code signals. He was in france in 1940 and escaped in a dutch cheese boat AFTER Dunkirk. My grandmother was petrified he would be captured and shot as a spy as he was in civilian clothes.

I have the letter he got from his boss when he returned says well done and take 2 days off !!
