Tucker & Dale Vs. Evil

"Tucker & Dale are on vacation at their dilapidated mountain cabin when they are attacked by a group of preppy college kids."

Truns the classic Hill billy phsyco theme around.

Hilarious, 10/10
A good'un but only 7/10 from me.

Zombieland is 10/10 imho.

I will watch (again) Harry Brown on Channel 5 tonight.

Gritty British drama which I think is rather good.

Kicks off @ 2200hrs.

Dawn of the planet of the apes

Disappointed with this one, plot was boring and predictable, I could have switched off the subtitles for the apes and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Rise of the planet of the apes felt much fresher and original IMO.

5/10

Starred Up.

Violent prison drama 8/10.

Hard to watch but brilliant at the same time.

Watched ' Dead Man's Shoes 'today.
I really enjoyed it. Strongly recommend Tyrannosaur if you haven't seen it.
Thanks for that, big fan of Dead Mans Shoes.

I wouldn't say Tyrannosaur was on quite the same level but very enjoyable. Depressing yet refreshingly different at the same time.

7.5/10

Tokarev - quite violent Nic Cage movie. Not too bad with with a denouement I sort of guessed at 6/10

One of my favourite "hidden gems" rofl

For anyone looking to watch this, don't watch the trailer or read too much about it.

Lone Survivor.

Good action. But it's a bit 'too American' if that make sense. Entirely expected of course.

6/10.

Mockingjay Part 1

If you liked the others, you'll like this. More about politics and propaganda than action this time. Jennifer Lawrence excellent, as usual. Due to the split, it sort of just stops, but I'm looking forward to the conclusion. My teenage daughters LOVED it.

I forgot about this. I watched it on a Sunday morning round a friend's place after a few of us had been out clubbing. Bloody funny and I would never pick this sort of film.

Not at the weekend but for some reason felt like watching Star Wars. Just bought an ipod touch 64gb and not being able to fill it with music decided to see how many films I could upload. The answer is st loads, probably 10 films and 20 episodes of stuff, still only half full.

Watched Star Wars A New Hope last week on the train 1/2 hour at a time, now watching The empire strikes back. Even on a tiny screen it still cool. Luke is about to meet Yoda, looking forward to a commute by train tomorrow for a change.

My son's girlfriend came out of this and said 'I wouldn't have watched it I've I'd known they were all going to die'. Obviously never thought about the title.

Horrible Bosses 2.

The first one was pretty funny I thought - mostly down to Jennifer Aniston's filthy turn - so I was kinda expecting a sequel to be about half as funny. However, it was brilliant - much better than the first and almost a traditional British farce in style. Haven't laughed so much at a film in ages. What with this and Stretch, Chris Pine is also making damn sure he won't be pegged as Captain Kirk for the rest of his career!
