The Theory of Everything - can't say I was blown away by the film.

No doubt the performances are excellent but I felt the story was a bit flat, just in the way it was presented. I guess I was hoping for a bit more of his actual 'work' to be included, which I would have found far more interesting.

The missus started faffing about after about an hour and I started reading up about the guys he collaborated with while the film was still playing - a sign that it's lost my interest.

I go to the cinema at least once a week, but I just don't fancy it....

Am I missing something?
a small fortune.
True, it does add up especially in London. £18 the other day for the Curzon in Victoria because the seats recline slightly!

Jaws 3 - 7/10. Now the original is a timeless classic. No one can touch it. Even now I still get a chill when I hear the music. But jaws 3 oh sweet jesus. Jaws invades sea world, she then proceeds to be a dick.

It's so bad it's actually good. The special effects are awesome. I'm left thinking this must have been made for 3d at the time. Worth a watch as it's that bad it's good

Me and my mates did go to the cinema to watch this in 3-D (along with Friday 13th 3-D), back in 1983.

It was shockingly poor even back then, and we ended up walking out half way through. I cannot understand why you give it a 7/10!

Yeah - this was a stand out film from my youth for all the wrong reasons.

It's the worst film I've ever seen in a cinema, and I used to love some absolute tosh back then.

If your particulalrly interested in war films, especially Russian ones, have a look at "Come and See". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-Ro0SZf438 Just make sure your not feeling too depressed before you watch it as it's pretty grim and unflinching in places frown

No, that was Jaws 4 - The Revenge. An even worse film than the 3rd one, and one that I suspect Michael Caine doesn't include in his CV !

Run all night

Typical Liam Neeson fayre, but he does it well for a 62 year old!

Well worth a look if your film of choice is taken or the equaliser...

7/10

Watched this earlier on YouTube and its not a bad film. Some good action sequences and it was great to see so many real tanks in play, but it did seem to lose its way in the last twenty minutes or so by taking a different turn.

I watched Foxcatcher last night. I wasn't familiar with the story but it was recomended to me so gave it a go. The first 40 minutes or so were so slow and boring I was on the verge of turning it off. The fact it was based on a true story kept me hanging on to see what happened.

It's very downbeat, slow and quirky. There's a lot of wierd relationships and touching in this film which give it an awkward and uncomfortable feel. The performances are superb, especially from Carrell and Tatum's brother. I'm glad I stuck with it. Not the best movie in the world but it does get more involving the longer you stick with it. It's different.

Streamed "'71" on Saturday night.
Not a bad little movie. Slightly predictable overall, but very authentic looking and genuinely captivating.
Captured the dreariness of 1970s Belfast pretty well, and the occasional "big" effects were well done, with some hint of the less overt and slightly sinister goings-on between the various factions involved and the British Army.
