My wife recorded Operation Petticoat for me.

Cary Grant making out to wee into a sink is a classic. Even to the final shake. One wonders if the censors allowed it because it was so funny, making out that they missed it.

The script is quite involving, especially for an American film. Lovely.

Deception. (Also known as "The Best Offer" as there seems to be many films called Deception).
I can't tell you much about it as I don't want to give it away, but it was very good!

Strangely it appeared to be an Italian film, mostly filmed in Italy, by an Italian producer, but with some well known UK actors in it.
Plus Donald Sutherland.

8.5/10

Me and my wife watched this on a cold Winters Sunday afternoon and loved it. Loved the acting, the cinematography and the story.

What We Do in the Shadows

"Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are vampires who are finding that modern life has them struggling with the mundane - like paying rent, keeping up with the chore wheel, trying to get into nightclubs, and overcoming flatmate conflicts."

An absolutely brilliant, original comedy with some real laugh out loud moments.

I really wasn't expecting much but definitely recommend!

Halfway through this and I like it. "Werewolves, not Swearwolves"

Jurassic World

Really enjoyed this, It's flawed for sure but very enjoyable. Better than the previous two sequels. I was 10 when the first came out and always loved anything dinosaurs as a kid, there were some nods to the original. I thought the two leads-particularity Chris Pratt were very good. 8/10

What we do in the Shadows I also really enjoyed this, nearly gave up after 10 minutes as it looked a bit low rent. Glad I stuck with it, found it original which with so many CGI driven films about makes a refreshing change. [b]7.5/10[b]

Ex Machina - last 15 mins are excellent, it's a shame the rest is so boring; it's thought provoking but not especially enjoyable as a cinematic experience. I don't think Nathan's character quite worked as intended, he came across more dropout than genius.
Watched this and to be blunt, its terrible.

Very slow, predictable, etc, really not impressed.

Jurassic World. A fun romp, much better than I anticipated. I anticipated s pile of crap, so much, much better.
Nice story, some class actors, great set pieces, bit too much time spent with the stty kids, but hey ho, and a brill dénouement. Much better than Mad Max as the summer blockbuster.

Lucy. 7/10

Silly but fun. A mix of 1960's acid and 21st Century CGI.

Good to read!

Am watching this tomorrow night - can't wait, I absolutely loved the first, although the sequels were a bit of a let down, especially The first sequel..

What do we reckon on taking a 3 and 6y/o to see this. They love watching the first three at home. Is it any more/less scary?

It's a 12a so they should not get in anyway. The original was a PG.

My 5yo wanted to see this (so did I).

I think that you have this completely the wrong way around.

If they like the others, then it should be OK, but I do think that JW is marginally more scary for a young person that JP. It has tried to up the scare factor slightly.

I'm sure they'd love it. It's just getting them into the cinema that might be a bit tricky. Won't kill em to wait for the blu ray.

There was a lot of younger kids there. The original was very tame. There is no way this should be a 12. It's truly gruesome.

I'm 27 and I've done some pretty bad drug trips in my time but even I was a bit freaked out just how dark and gruesome it was.

Take them. Next time they misbehave tell them I was going to take you to Disney land your now going to jurassic world. They will shut up instantly.

Honestly even I'm a bit chilled still by some of the scenes. It's not gory but it has to be the equivalent to modern day cinematic jaws.
