I neither watched or recorded any of the clip shows after the first and I think a few people here did the same so they lost viewers regardless hehe

Well its back, (on US TV but available in the usual places) and a return to form, nothing about the bar and grill, or the new music venue (although this will probably change)) just buying, selling and creating cars, an enjoyable episode.

Back on UK tv on Sept 3rd I think.

You sure about this? I did search function on Sky a couple of nights ago because I thought it must be coming back soon and there was nothing new.

My wife used to like this, but recently, she said that she's gone off the show, as they clearly love themselves a little too much, and it's become more of a soap opera about them, with the cars taking a back seat to the guy's egos.

Yes, I gave up on Sons of Guns too. Not only did it quickly become rather a lame Soap Opera, but a lot of their builds were distinctly amateur too. The stock that they made for a .50 cal Desert Eagle looked like it had been home made in someone's garage.

Don't think it started this week in the UK, wasn't in any of the guides anyway.

yeah it did its a shame there are no good gun programs on at the moment wild west alaska is a bit st no details on the builds really although i did like the first episode when they went hunting deer it helped that the cutomer was easy on the eye, but the one were they went to garages sales was a bit st then the big sale was crap bar the nitro 500 build but that needed alot more detail.

american guns started off ok too but then Kurt got all stroppy and it went south.

its just the same as the car progs show us more technical stuff not the fluffy namby pamby la-di-da waffle that makes up 51% of the show.

I agree the last season of Sons of Guns was a bit of a downer, aside from the 152mm D10! I just wish they'd cut the crap and get on with what they used to appear really good at - making fantastic custom guns and getting obscure things working again.

I hope it picks up, it appears they now have a sub company called Red Jacket Muzzle Loading (follow it on facebook) and the weapons that Will (appears to just be him doing most of the work) turns out are nothing short of exquisite. I really hope they show that as part of the show.

There are a few car shows coming out of the US at the moment, Wednesday nights has Fat and Furious Rolling Thunder which so far has been fairly good. The overall drama content seems fairly low. Though they don't go into massive detail on the builds (two cars concurrently on each episode). There is another hot rod shop based show starting on Monday too (10pm after Mythbusters IIRC).

Sons of Guns have other issues to worry about

I was at the point of giving up on Fast and Loud because we have had an entire season of re-caps and Gas Monkey bar advertising. But, I watched the first of the new season and they are back to building cars. I will be continuing to watch this season.

Anyone still watching the show?

Latest series, imho, back its best. Enjoyed the builds so far.

Just hope the rest of series is not turned into fillers like last series.

Yup, still tuning in. Good popcorn.

Agreed on the turnaround, last series (particularly the second half) felt like they were trying to fill an 'order' of episodes. Back now to feeling like big versions of the earlier series when they were in the tiny workshop.

Agree, back to just builds and larking about.

Loved the Pikes Peak bits, really interesting to see. Did show them up as not being race car builders though with the truck. Aaron's Falcon did quite well, but didn't really ever give him a chance against the Radical.

I hope they're not going the way of American Chopper with those awful corporate "theme" bikes.

They have done a lot of corporate (ish, Pikes Peak for example, Sonic) builds, as according to RR the bottom line is they pay well.

The more builds he gets from the corporate stuff, and the mention flipping of the Mustangs (holy grails :-)) the more fun flips/builds they can do, hence the not so great profits on the custom Model A.

Part of life, and still think they have the life. Well not the monkeys, they works to hard.
