Yep show went well till the end of the 2 series when they had the build for dale jr with the green nomade which is now with another owner. Its just a show now a lot of the cars sold are actually still at the garage the first model a ford in the first series is up on the ramps. Most of the mechanics actually have there own garages too.

Its ok to watch what car show isn't to an extent minus anything with Leepo or Bernie in it so just sit back enjoy it and not take it to seriously.

Anyone see this week's episode?

How on earth was the '67 Cadillac's interior worth $30,000? The buyer must be a total fool to have paid $150,000 for the car.

I suspect the numbers are inflated a little bit, but its a one-off custom Cadillac. New engine, paint job, air ride, new alloys, custom interior. I suspect it wasn't far off 100k with the car on top.

Please the new owner is multi-millionaire so I don't he is worried about a few quid.

I wanted to see the dog cage adaptation that they agreed to carry out at the end.

Same here. It would have been nice to see some actual fabrication from them for once.

What did everyone think of the GT?

Personally thought it looked cracking!

I've only done the first 5 - is that episode 6? If so, I'll be upstairs on the Now TV this evening!

Was a bit worried about the chassis needing a lot of ally welding!

That paint job was the mutts. I don't think they'll miss KC in the spray booth.

With all the money manufacturers put into R&D & testing how suspension parts work together I was concerned with changing a 200 mph car to air ride. I'd like a 'proper' driver (race driver) to max it & say how it feels compared to a normal set up.

Looked stunning they nailed it. Now if they did that to a mint/original low mile gt model then it be completely wrong but they put new life in to what might have been a car parted out rather than repaired. What I didn't really like was how little info they showed of the air ride building up but they sort of did that in an earlier episode.

Its just like the f40 build took a damaged car and brought it back to life and made it better than factory.

Just watched it - car looked great!

Can't see it being worth the money they're talking with it having had such extensive damage and then being modified but the finished article is superb.

I'd be interested in how the air ride affects things. Certainly looks cool on the floor.

It was fantastic on the move but when it was sat on the floor it looks a bit stupid to me, I don't like the extreme low look with the wheels splayed out "stance" so I'd ditch the air-ride if it was me, but that's a personal thing.

Not that it was a bad looking car before, they ditched the stripes which look a bit old hat now and the mid-2000s era wheels. The engine tuning is nothing special, okay it's 'special' as in it adds a pile of power to an already powerful car, but the beauty of the GT was the fact it used a off-the-shelf Ford modular engine there's a huge amount of tuning stuff for that engine on the market as it's powered every V8 fast ford for years and years in one variation or other.

I've been playing catch up and have enjoyed this series up until now - I missed the first episode which isn't on Sky catch-up, where are we up to now - I watched fell asleep repeated through as I was so knackered until I gave up and will finish off today - the first part of the GT build last night - should my Sky box have recorded the second part last night?

The 'stance' look is just a by-product of what happens to the geometry when its lowered that much, rather than it being 'stanced yo' by design.

They have done plenty of air ride stuff before showing the install process so the producer (RRR) probably didn't think it was worth bothering. Aaron did explain at the end that they measured the damper rates etc. which to a small number of people (you and me for example) it would be interesting. But for those that watch it as an entertainment show it would be dull and probably go over their heads.

Nah if you buy it its yours, cut it up as much as you want. Unless it as an individual vehicle has some sort of racing (for example) pedigree whereby you are the current custodian rather than the owner. Otherwise it is nothing more than a car (albeit a very nice one). But then I'd have no problem taking a gas axe to a matching numbers classic, selling the engine and parts I didn’t want on and turning it into an out and out race car / some sort of custom build. I wouldn't do it because it doesn't make financial sense, much better to buy a cheaper model (V6 Mustang rather than a V8 GT) that is the same body shell as the V8 but costs a lot less which means you can spend the change on race car parts and go faster.

I really liked the GT '38' last week.

A bit gimmicky, but I am also liking the idea for this week, plus as a two hour show I hope we get to see it all from start to finish now.

I seem to have lost my Series Link for this show. Bloody Sky. The last ones I saw were the '67 Caddy with the $30k interior. frown
