Just watched the Dodge Dart 2-parter.
It was interesting how they got a bare Hellcat engine build working.
But the inevitable thrashing of their internet channel challengers, with all the American whoopin' and a-hollerin' and a-highfivin' and a-chestbumpin'? Have some fking respect for yourselves, dudes. I mean, seriously. It was like something out of The Fast Show when the dad beats his 8 year-old son at cricket.

Both sponsored by Dodge, neither short of a bob or two. And the Roadkill fellas were fine with how it came out.It was interesting how they got a bare Hellcat engine build working.

Don't they normally bleep the swearing out?
That was the main thing I noticed from the show, non bleeped swearing and it was all the better for it.stephen300o said:

Yeah, it was obviously a set-up Dodge-sponsored event from the outset. I don't know why they bothered with the fiction of wanting to do anything else with the car or "just happening" to have a brand new Hellcat engine on the shelf. Why insult the intelligence of the viewer when they could have just said "Roadkill and Gas Monkey have been approached by Dodge to put on a drag race to promote their new engine"?There was even a Hellcat engine on a stand on the starting line of the dragstrip.
Aside from the clip shows - I like this series. I like the way Aaron thinks!
I see Richard Rawlins is apparently worth around $15M - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Rawlings
Shouldn't think he's overly bothered as to who and who doesn't like his cars!

Yes, series 3 which is split into two parts, half of which was before xmas. Just to add to the confusion the americans are on season 6, i dont think their seasons tie up with our series.
To be honest im losing interest now, its just become an enormous Rawlings ego massaging exercise. Was best when it first started, just the two of them buying cars and Aaron doing his thing. I have no interest in their drag racing or any of the other crap like his bar/grill/music venue.

I really like Rawlings and I like how successful he is. I find it interesting that the show features on all aspects of his businesses. There are only so many shows you can watch when he rolls up to a farm and bids on cars the owners dont want to sell etc. Variety is the spice of life and all that...To be honest im losing interest now, its just become an enormous Rawlings ego massaging exercise. I respect and admire th'boy Rawlings for what he's achieved, genuine self-made man and all that BUT, and it's a big but, I think the plot has been lost when the programme starts dedicating great swathes to him swanning off to sponsor a horse and suchlike. Rather like I gave up watching Top Gear when it became the unseemly spectacle of millionaires behaving like retarded schoolkids, I don't really want to spend time watching a programme about a hot-rod shop for it to be like something out of Cribs
Show us the cars being built and fk off with the Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless st, please

I agree. Although I think the horse racing was a step too far - I fast-forwarded past that bit. Mastiff said:

Also if you go back to the first series the whole idea was Richard rents his garage from Phipps and now with misfits Richard is the landlord so its either bullst that he is the landlord or that he never rented it off Phipps from the start.
I think a show between denis and Richard would be good though.
