Its the same as scott in the first series leaving half way through a big build to go back to his own shop and then doing the same thing at the misfits garage thing. Also tom "owner" of misfits has his own engine shop on top of that the guy they brought in for the 2 camero builds restoration specialists he as well owns his own shop.

Also if you go back to the first series the whole idea was Richard rents his garage from Phipps and now with misfits Richard is the landlord so its either bullst that he is the landlord or that he never rented it off Phipps from the start.
I think a show between denis and Richard would be good though.
They did show Richard buying the old building in one of the episodes.

According to this Aaron doesn't work at Gas Monkey and has had his own shop since 2011 - http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-businessm...
Must be true, then...

Read Richard Rawlings book, 'Blood, Sweat and Gears' which, I think, you'll find is more accurate and believable.

Yep, I think GMG was almost sunk, the Discovery money that came in for the first series basically saved it. IIRC from a post on another forum from somebody that had read Richards book said that he had told Aaron to get out before it went down and do his own thing, which he sensibly (wouldn't expect anything else from him tbh) did. However, when it kicked off again he asked Aaron back - he came back.

If you want to read Rawling's book, you can get the free unabridged audio version if you subscribe to the free trial of Amazon's Audible book service - I enjoyed listening to it in the car.

Or you can get Richard Porter's book about working on Top Gear free instead.

Have been catching up on Se03 in the mornings on Discovery as i'm off for a week after having my appendix out.

Enjoying it a lot, actually. Some of the builds wouldn't be my 'style' but AK knows his stuff and is always a pleasure to watch.

Still not sure about some of RR's social climbing (Pebble Beach etc) decisions but it's by far my favourite TV show at the moment.

Still amazed at some of the prices paid at auction for 'modified' cars over there! Shame we don't have a similar market, really.

But then the prices he is buying the car at over there are crazy compared to the buggeriing we receive trying to just buy a stock Camaro over here.

I think this series has gone a bit pants to be honest. Its lost that edgy humour of the early shows and its now all about the brand. American chopper mk2.....

Yep, not enjoying the last couple of this series. RR getting arsey with Arron last week over the bike build just came over like a complete dhead and the amount of unnecessary swearing (i'm no prude) just didnt fit with what the show normally does.

I guess they needed to do something to "freshen" up the show but I don't think swearing was really the way to go.
Still plenty of stuff to enjoy a bit like TG its as much about the people and their relationships as it is about the Cars. Some of the stuff with the American Cars goes right over my head it does nothing for me but some of the stuff they do especially the flat bed trucks come out gorgeous

I hope it doesn't go down the road of OCC on American Chopper. The lack of infighting, throwing of bins and severe temper tantrums are what makes it a great show. Those reasons alone stopped me watching American Chopper.

With all these shows, for me, it's about the engineering. At least in most Fast N Louds they show how they build the cars. Sadly, Counting Cars has turned into a skit; we see very little of the builds at all. Even Pawn Stars has silly little vignettes - fodder for the x30 fast forward on my Sky control.

Must admit I preferred the earlier episodes - they were actually quite amusing:

Fave car show on TV at the moment, but I have absolutely no idea whether i'm watching the new series or the old ones. Still, keep seeing one's I haven't seen before so all good at the moment. As others have said it's the people as well as the cars that keep it interesting. RR makes me laugh. #beerassistant
