It is very nicely filmed. It is a slow moving story, but I'm used to things like that in TV series i watch. I'd rather that than everything sorted out at the end of each week.

Loving it so far, I like the slower pace, the last few series I have watched have been over way too quickly. As said, great filming, looking forward to next week.

As intriguing as it is, I can't help wonder whether they will actually complete the story or give it one of those "The Prisoner" endings.

I hope they close it out nicely, would be a real shame to string it along.

Good review by Den of Geek, which I think sums up well my feelings on it.

Great plot so far and beautifully filmed, just finding it hard to care much about the characters, Wilson Wilson aside smile

I'm thinking style over substance...but I'll stick with it!

/\ This and I'm finding the style distracting.

I like the style, I'd rather have something looking like they've made an effort in the look (and the background music) than something that looks like it could be an episode of Eastenders.

Indeed, I really love the look of the series.

Yes it's stylized, but it's a distinctive look. Actually makes Liverpool look cool hehe

Very good.

I did anticipate something a bit stupid from the trailer...and from the first ten minutes, wasn't keen on the mong heavy breathing henchman.

But it grew, and was really good. Spent the whole second episode thinking the fit bird was Joanne Whally. biggrin

Also really into the attempted sex scene, not a ridiculous Hollywood glossy airbrushed version, or the seedy dirty 'almost-rape' of the chav that we get all of the time, but a more realistic, sexy/slow/funny scene.

Thought WW would be more hurting at the injuries before the heroin, but ho-hey.

Neil Maskell makes me laugh in it, the way he walks, speaks and looks in that tight ill fitting jacket, look in complete contrast to the total nutter he is. hehe

I thought the style was to make it look a bit comic-bookish - really bright colours and lots of framing etc.

Don't watch a lot of this kind of thing but I really like it so far.

Good point well put. Hadn't thought of the graphic novel being part of the style.
