I wondered that too. Google says 3 hotels owned by one company was sold owing 900k to mark (all 3 but no sale price ?)
In October someone bought the grosvenor from Mark for £1m but the other two hotels not yet sold??
The company mark owned all 3 hotels is currently being liquidated

So none the wiser!

At one point he said he owed millions, mind think that was probably just a figure of speech. No idea really but, would guess it's probably more than he's asking for from the sale of the hotel.

he is coming back in next series so probably make few 100k from the show and maybe a book/show deal

That's not what I read. Two other hotels were owned by a company he owned. That went into receivership.

The Grosvenor was owned by him directly and he sold it.

Wonder if he bought a red Bentley?

I still haven't a clue. Tonight's episode suggested he lost everything?
You would think he would have covered himself somehow (I.e. the sale of grosvenor would go straight into his pocket as you suggest. But he said would service some debts?
