True, but that's in crime dramas that are centred on the police, or a specific detective. As this is centred on the pathologist / general forensic lab, it's bound to be seen from their point of view, that's why the police are different in every story.

Miss Doshi was the stand-out character in these episodes... not usually easy to divert attention from Nikki Alexander.

My wife loves this show, but I struggled with the previous 2 stories. The only one I enjoyed was the first sniper story.

Fun though it is as a TV program the fun is in the huge inconsistencies and characters doing unbelievably stupid things.

I wonder why she seems to get 'top' billing?

There's a theory that it's to make up for the fact she doesn't get a mention in the opening credits, but that's clearly rubbish as they could easily add her name into the opening credits if they wanted to.

It's quite embarrassing, as it makes it look like she's getting preferential treatment because of her disability. Whether that's the actual reason or not, I have no idea.
