If there is another bolshy female DI/DCI (or in fact any policewoman)having an 'issue' with the new forensic scientist it will be time to turn over.

This series is dire compared to previous but granted Emilia Fox is a fit as fk

Check out the BBC "Gunpowder, Treason and Plot" mini series for a "naughty" scene with EF....it's in the second part IIRC.

She also did some fairly risqué stuff in the tv adaptation of some Mills and Boon stories smile

Don't think she looks as nice in this series of SW though. Bit too skinny, plus she looks a bit skeletor as she has no eyebrows

6 minutes in and already we've got a mental bh unprofessional female copper. Is it a rule in this series or something?

I know I said I wasn't going to watch, but the OH is (etc etc etc)... Have the scriptwriters ever worked with any police? These pathologists seem really unlucky with the quality of investigators they work with; they're all useless.

have to admit, this weeks episodes far better than last weeks. Far cry from the best years though and still too many improbables such as how on earth did the bearded guy get a courier to show up in an identical van to his as such short notice? and anyway, we all know the barman from the hustle wouldnt be a murderer.

Very good indeed if a little dramatic!

Really enjoyed this weeks. Good twists and the ending (and cause) were really good.

hmmm except the twists, turns and especially the cause were woefully done in terms of credibility.

Felt this weeks episodes were better, but it seemed like they spent 99% telling the story then 1% on the ending. Plus, the news broadcast at the end said both the guys in the fancy office were 'critically ill' but surely the nature of the dust would mean they would be ill much further in the future PLUS there seemed to be no follow-up of what happened (or was going to happen) to the contaminated area.

Sorry, can't stop myself. Train fire in a tunnel in 1962, but clearly a Class 56 diesel locomotive, which didn't enter service until the mid to late seventies. Tsk.

Otherwise I always like Silent Witness, though not entirely sure about the new people though I said that last time there was someone new.

Has Emilia Fox lost the ability to act or is her look of permanent bewilderment down to the poor quality of this series.

Her character has become seriously dippy "oh Leo I know there's a major cover up staring us all in the face but can't you just like write it up and totally make it someone else's problem?"

Disappointing.

Plot holes and mulligans (is that the right term, i can't remember) aplenty in this series too.
