Why are the police ALWAYS portrayed as aholes in this?

That’s the BBC’s influence. Hardly supporters of main stream policing. Always happy to highlight the force’s shortcomings.

Haven't watched this since it jumped the shark with what's her name being buried alive in some foreign country and the Northern Irish lad finding her like a needle in a haystack. It also went through a phase of dreadful overacting.

Has it got any better?

Going by last night, no!

I too have not watched this for a few years as they became detectives as well pathologists. Seems they are still running with it. I'll probably watch this series, as I'm low on series currently.

15 minutes was enough for me. I thought I’d give this season a go but sadly it hasn’t got any better in fact it seemed worse. Never again.

It's like watching tv in the early 2000s. Before HBO and box sets rendered this tripe useless.

Isn't it funny how years ago casting directors would spend significant time and energy choosing actors to make the characters as close to reality as possible.

And then you have now.....

My word it's awful. It doesn't help that I can't stand Amanda Burton who aways plays Amanda Burton but everything else is worse than that.

To make it worse I was told it's a single story flowing through the series.

I said I wouldn't bother with this series but hope overcame sense. I'll not be bothering again.

We keep watching it and will no doubt continue to do so.

But I agree. It's bloody awful.

She never really was much cop, IMO, as a dynamic actor but Amanda Burton now appears less mobile and less expressive than the cadavers on the table in this series.

It's typical SW really, over-acting, under-acting, Amanda whatshernames face appears to have rigor mortis.

Highlight for me was the helicopter they landed at the pier head in regularly goes over my house!

Totally disappointing , the writers obviously ran out of ideas and left a floating ending , I thought the blood samples were a plant to catch someone out , but …
As usual forensics were behaving like police and chasing suspects ,total B/S
The early series were believable , not any more after the one with the plane crash , where the forensics team were trampling all over the crashed plane , something I guess in the first instance only the AAIB would do

Rather than a floating ending I'm told it's one story for the whole series.

What a treat. Take something ludicrous and badly written/acted and stretch it over 6 eipsodes

TBF it wasn't as bad as I was expecting, given what I had read on here, I'll stick with it for now.

That is interesting , it was listed in the TV mag as being a 2 part episode , hope so, MIGHT answer the plot holes
