Heads up.

Series 6, which will be the final one, starts on Wednesday 4 April 2018 at 22:00 on ITV4.

This is pretty good going as it's only a week behind the US air date.

Thanks for that, I’ll set it up and series link it in the morning, my wife always liked the show, as did I, but I wonder if after “Homeland” it will feel dated and maybe second best.

I would put The Americans well above Homeland. It requires a much smaller suspension of disbelief for a start...

Thanks for the reminder.
I can't believe this series hasn't been better promoted or shown on a higher profile channel.

..and as one of the actors plays an almost identical Russian baddie in both programmes that could be a possibility.

Do you mean Costa Ronin? He plays Yevgeny in Homeland and Oleg in The Americans, and it's the exact same character! I got confused when he popped up in Homeland and blamed the wine I was drinking............

It's even more confusing if you're also watching "Designated Survivor", which likewise has a running arc of Russian hackers undermining the presidency. As did the recently-finished series of "Madam Secretary".

That's the chap. The only difference between the two characters is I find slight sympathy for him in TA, but Homeland is a little more superficial so little character development.

That’s me all finished. No spoilers, but some good stuff in the last couple of episodes and a few WTF moments.

Saw the finale last night, really gonna miss this show, it's one of the best things on TV for a few years IMO.

Need to find something else now, thinking Billions.

My A list: Billions, Ozark, Big Little Lies, Vikings, Westworld, Deep State, Fargo (S1/2), Fauda. Lost in Space is quite good fun.

Cool thanks, currently doing Westworld and will start Billions in a couple of weeks (on vacation from Thursday for a while).

We watched the final episode last night. A fitting and unexpected finale to a great series.

I’m actually sad it’s all over.

Us too. I loved how there was never a dud season - it was always compelling viewing. One of the best TV shows to come out in the last 20 years IMO.

It was great,

although Stan letting them walk away was a bit far fetched. I had a sneaky feeling a while back that Renee was a Soviet agent, when she started going on about working for the FBI. I was waiting for a time when she was alone with the Jennings and they would start talking. But it never happened. Philip told Stan he thought she could be, but now we'll never know for sure.
