But can you imagine the thumbwork?

I've heard that in one of the early books Bond learned how to play slap bass so could be perfect...

In all seriousness though, just because he wears a bow tie regularly does not make him an ideal candidate for Bond.

I'm assuming that's the Mark King he actually meant? smile

DC is contracted for (at least) another two films, so I reckon the new Bond, whoever it is, won't make his debut till 2016 at the earliest but more likely 2017. So, I guess the Bond to be is probably now in his early to mid 30s and is probably operating just below radar. And whoever it is, he HAS to be British.

Three contenders I can think of:
Tom Hiddleston
Eddie Redmayne
James McAvoy

I think Damien Lewis could do a good job but he's only a couple of years younger than Daniel Craig so his chance has probably gone - likewise Clive Owen and Benedict Cumbernatch.

If you want the Roger Moore innuendo and arched eyebrow...

hehe

Serious answer, allowing for the old enough in 5 years time thing... Tom Hardy, Daniel Radcliffe, James Mcavoy, as said above. Maybe Robert Pattinson.

If they decide to make films of Charlie Higsons "Young Bond" books perhaps. He looks about 12 years old.

A safe bet is Tom Hardy. Especially if Christopher Nolan is doing the 'reboot' when DC is finished as is rumoured.
