I really liked it, loved the interactions between Ragnar and Floki. And Lagetha's new lover...smile

Cant be the end of Ragnar and Ivar - their stories end differently.

Perhaps it's a rebirth moment for Ivar?

Vikings turning into Game of Thrones laugh

Though isnt Ragnor a made up character and meant to be several people in one?

I think the best you can say is that he is a "legendary" figure. The vikings didn't write anything so he's only known by verbally-passed-on stories written down many years/centuries later.

And a fair bit in the last 70 years or so. His sons seem to feature very strongly in a number of the tales, so there's scope for a few more series yet.

It's possible he could die, or they could be faking it again

Travis Fimmel is trying to get a film career so he might leave. I don't think it needs to be the end of the show though, it could carry on without him easily enough.

Though i did read that this season was about Lagertha's death.

Do we need to spoil stuff considering the programme is based on real life?

Ragnar was a historical figure. The show is roughly following his story.

So was Rollo. He was the first Norman (Northman) King of 'Normandy' and great-grandfather of William the Conqueror.

I don't think we need to spoiler speculation. If you happen to have seen it in advance that's different

Yeah, don't want to say too much but it was an excellent episode which should spur some fun-to-watch repercussions.

It's been interesting watching the series evolve from a relatively low budget slow moving slot filler for History to what's happening now.

I'm finally upto date with the latest season. Very good and very enjoyable.

Absolutely gutted they've killed off Ragnar, one of my favourite characters in any recent TV show. Travis Fimmel also played him extremely well. Alway love that menacingly cheeky jokey will I/won't I face he makes.

I have watched this from the first season again over the past few days, and must admit that I have enjoyed it more upon the second viewing.

Although true to the assumed history, I think the series might struggle without him.

Crikey, no. That was a few weeks ago.

The latest is ep18 "Revenge", and it is one of the best yet.
