The very first season was really low budget, I think it was on the history channel or something, when I first saw it.
Yes the History channel I think. Took getting into at first but then I was hooked. By comparison the last three (?) seasons seemed as if they were directed and produced by the people responsible for Fast and Furious. Crash Bang Wallop Death no story.Ivo Shandor said:
Rotten Tomatoes has loved some absolute ste since it was bought by whomever years ago, the critics that is.
If both critics and and audience are in sync, then maybe, but these days many big names are usually in polar position.
Yeah fair point, I don’t think critics and audiences have ever been more separated. If both critics and and audience are in sync, then maybe, but these days many big names are usually in polar position.
Most reviews are now just a zeitgeist pie chart; 5 stars if the main character is transgender etc
I'm just finishing a re-watch of season 1-6 and on the final episode of 6 so not started with Valhalla yet.
It certainly dropped off after Ragnar died and the whole Floki in Iceland really didn't help but season 6 was as good as the previous so I'm hoping Valhalla can be of similar standards.

I really enjoyed 'The Last Kingdom'It certainly dropped off after Ragnar died and the whole Floki in Iceland really didn't help but season 6 was as good as the previous so I'm hoping Valhalla can be of similar standards.
I haven't watched it yet so I hope it's as good as that.
I've started watching Valhalla last night 2 episodes in, seems ok at the moment.
I was pretty sure in season 6, the Outlaw Erik was introduced as "Erik the red" so straight away in Valhalla Leif says his father is alive I'm thinking that doesn't add up as Erik gets killed in Season 6 of Vikings and this is 100 years later.
But pretty sure now Erik in 6 season is just called Erik and despite being red haired etc (and loosely based on Erik The Red) isn't actually supposed to be Erik The Red.

Vikings timeline is all screwed up there are characters who were, IRL, a few 100 years apart meeting as friends/foes/etcI was pretty sure in season 6, the Outlaw Erik was introduced as "Erik the red" so straight away in Valhalla Leif says his father is alive I'm thinking that doesn't add up as Erik gets killed in Season 6 of Vikings and this is 100 years later.

Gathered that as I'm quite into this period of history, but just seems strange they would try to use a similar character twice. Although at the moment I'm guessing Erik doesn't actually feature in it, hes just mentioned. Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
