It is definitely on during the hours between midnight, and midnight on a day of the week. When that is in the UK I don't k ow. It is showing on the History channel in the US, so presumably it will be on the same at some point.

Ok, contrary to what I've previously posted elsewhere, I admit that I'd like to have Sky to enable me to watch productions such as this but I still don't see it as value for money.
However, this production hopefully serves to disassemble the myths surrounding these Scandanavian interlopers.
Well before their invasions of Britain and Ireland, Swedish Vikings had looked east and invaded using light row boats that they could lift on their shoulders and carry across land between lakes and rivers in a fast manner.
Indeed, the name Russia derives literally from an old term 'men who row'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rus_(name)
They didn't wear cow horns attached to their helmets.
They didn't just raid and flee as is the widely accepted view. They settled, integrated and farmed a lot of Scotland and the northern UK.
They did however trade heavily in slaves with Dublin being a chief capital for that business during the 9th century.
In the year 871 Alfred the Great of Wessex stood alone against this invasion and succeeded. His son, Edward, then defeated the Danish held five counties of the West Midlands and Lincolnshire. His son, Athelstan went on to become the first (accepted) king of a united England.
Of course by 986, England had Danish kings on the throne, Sweyn, later Knut and Harold Harefoot etc.
As we all know, by 1066 it all collapsed again due to more Norsemen and a famous invasion in southern Kent.
