Still enjoying (if that's the right word) Broadchurch.

Very interesting social commentary they've managed to squeez into the last two episodes on the freedom the press has, echoes of Jo Yates in Bristol.

The two leads (police) are outstanding though which helps.

Agreed. I actually felt really sad at the end of the last episode.

When Jack was found dead.

I can't rationalise the way the press in Broadchurch exposed the previous conviction of Jack and yet in real life nothing was said (or exposed) about Philpott having previous for attempted murder. This seems odd to me.

Where is it filmed?
Most coastal shots are around West Bay....
...And on the end of Freshwater Beach Holiday Park. By coincidence I was staying there - a bit of walking and fishing - with the family one of the weeks when this was filmed (Tennant actually walked past our 'van in one of those shots, Pauline Quirke was our neighbour for a few day and we would regularly find the beach cordoned off and police vans around; what fun!) and is the only reason I've been following it.

Does my head in when the screen geography flits back and forth between the town and parts of the Jurassic Coast - the Dorset Coastline is every bit as beautiful as it is portrayed!

However, the entire story, which I thought was going to be complete pants spread out over 8 hours, is turning out a bit of a revelation. Certainly the performances of the great actors like Tennant, Bradley and Quirke are one great support, but the storyline is taking it to a pretty good level. Can't believe there's still so much more to come too.

I couldn't agree more smile

Thoroughly enjoying Broadchurch and with 3 episodes left I am looking forward to see how the story unfolds.

My money is currently on the outcome being something to do with the coppers son, a secret boat trip out at night gone wrong or they got into a fight over something and it was an accident maybe.

Quirkes character is too weird and obvious to be responsible but is obviously up to something else, maybe covered up or hid evidence about Dannys death to hide whatever she's up to.

Seen some of the outcome of Broadchurch due to watching the filming from the comfort of my family's study window! Saw some parts of the drama being filmed all night that had about 20 seconds screentime, madness!
