Looking at it from a civvy / only fighting is paintball prospective I wouldn't know any of this apart from the fact it looks a bit clean and the outside bits look like a film set.
Its just as someone said Holby for a sunday night in a sandy place

It definitely wasn't as good as the first series, the outside shots of bastion looked pretty good, I had to have a couple of double takes. Would love to know how that bloke gets back on the front line a couple of days/weeks after taking a bullet in the thigh!

Me and my wife have a friendly bet going who is going to bump uglies with her first, the rupert or the bloke from misfits!

I thought it was decent TV. Entertaining and engaging. Mrs TS enjoyed it too.

Damn sight better than Downton Bloody Abbey.

Watched it last night and although it kept our interest, I found myself going,'really?' and 'nope, that would never happen like that!'. No RSOI neither, just straight into PT and then ops. Also, when she arrived in Bastion and went to get food, with no weapon anywhere... the GSM would have our guts for garters if we left our weapons anywhere, armed up or not. I was looking forward to seeing some Chinny's in action too, sorely disappointed! frown

Loved the last series, hope with the new "Girl" and other cast it's still decent.

I thought the dialogue was forced and kind of stunted - the production values and location work was ok but it felt like it was trying to be something it was never going to be.

is it supposed to be a series about a woman on the frontline and her developemnet, challenges etc or a pseudo social commentary on the frustrations of frontline operations....

in the end it did neither convincingly

Can't say I'm overly impressed. Just makes me realise how good Bluestone 42 was.

Is that a comedy? Think I saw it on Netflix, but not got round to watching it.

Watched the last in the series today, and it was predictable and didn't enjoy it as much as the last series.

Bluestone 42 was extremely good, became a little tired towards the end, but thankfully the writers realised that and brought it to a good finish.

The two versions of "Our Girl" were very different despite having the same writer. I liked Lacey Turner's approach to the role....she did an excellent job. After she quit from the role and Michelle Keegan took it over she had some pretty big boots to fill. Personally I think she portrayed the character very well, the only thing that let it down was the depth of the story. I agree the plot wasn't difficult to predict and it probably wont win any awards.....but it was enjoyable to watch and I hope they bring it back for another series.

I quite enjoyed the first series of Our Girl (much to my surprise).

The second was frankly mediocre. I don't think it helped being based back in the UK for the most part and it felt more like a soap opera than anything else.
