As long as they don't bring River Bloody Song back.
I thought the garden might have been the place she was eventually saved to when she died (Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead). But her changed appearance wouldn't make sense unless the computer changed her. Would make some sense though for the cyborg to be there if his memory/AI/whatever was saved.

I must say I enjoyed the first of the new series.

It was a bit hard to get into it at first, but it settled down and became very enjoyable.

I thought some of the writing was excellent.

Amused by the lesbian/interspecies subtext with the two girls. Subtle enough for early evening.

I like the new Doctor. And Jenna Coleman was good - her acting seems to have stepped up.

Although she wasn't really a normal daughter, just a cloned derivative.

And who's to say that those Gallifreans don't have very close family relationships ... I mean, one previous doctor is shacked up with that specific "daughter" smile
Who happens to be the normal daughter of yet another doctor.

Great line, I can't really imagine Smith or Tennant's Doctors saying it.
I liked that line too, and the delivery. Made Capaldi's doctor seem a lot more grown up than the WAHEY! of Matt Smith's (who was still very good).

A Redneck Doctor Who? With the Tardis up on bricks and a "YOU'LL TAKE MY SONIC SCREWDRIVER WHEN YOU PRISE IT FROM MY COLD DEAD HAND" sticker. And accosting strangers with "You ain't from around here boy and neither am I" while chomping on Gallifrey Fried Chicken. Yee-haw.
You mean Gallifried Chicken.

Innerspace/Fantastic Voyage inside a Dalek hehe .

There are definitely bits of Tucker in Capaldi's Doctor, especially when they landed in the dead body goo with "he's the most recent, so probably the top layer if you want to say a few words..."

Vod would make a great companion, but oh well smile . Danny the new guy seems to have a bit of history.

As the Doctor said, "Good idea for a film, bad idea if you're a proctologist".

When in doubt wheel in the Daleks. That was better constructed and some nice one liners.

And a bit of 2001-a Space Odyssey. Rearranging HAL's memory banks to shut it down.

I really enjoyed it. I thought the plot good and strong. Now what they really need to do is give the Daleks a very long rest but I bet they won't be able to resist the temptation to feature the good Dalek again.

That was much better.

As back handed compliments go, "you're a good dalek" is a cracker. All the best Who deals with his demons, that might be the thing they're going to do with Capaldi.

The Daleks will always be back in one form or other. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the Cybermen.

Been discussing the nature of 'Missy' with friends and family. I'm erring towards her being another timelord. A suggestion has come in about being the Tardis - the only other being aside from River Song who has claimed the Doctor to be a boyfriend?

Just throwing this out there. The layout of missy's garden at the end was very reminiscent of the layout of something else...
Season 6, Episode 10 - The Girl Who Waited. The one where Amy is trapped in a quarantine facility for victims of an alien plague. She goes through one of the doors into the garden and is caught by one of the medical robots...
I meant more that the layout of the garden was the same layout as the tardis control room.
Seems identical-if with some more mature plants & decorations now

Dyffryn Gardens, been used before as well in the one I mentioned earlier. The Forest of the Dead, where River Song gets saved to when she dies - http://www.doctorwholocations.net/locations/dyffry...

Really enjoying the new Doctor but finding it quite to adjust to him in the show if that makes sense?

He's so different to the previous two, much more similar to Eccelstone. Interesting.

I think Rusty would have made a good companion, imagine the banter.... hehe

Notice something about Missy?
She does a lot with the brolly
rather like Sylvester McCoys doctor
Now as Sylvester has been seen on set I do wonder if there's a link

Ok I made that bit up but the brolly stuff - bob on
