Good one this week. It wasn't 'Blink' level but I thought it was the best creepy one for a while.

So, the trailer for Time Heist next week, did anyone else think the glass tank Keeley Hawes was talking into was a bit like the 456 from Torchwood?

I'm not sure about this one, I didn't really get it, but I'm not a committed fan so maybe there was stuff going over my head?

If there isn't anything, what was on Ruperts bed?

I get the premise of Clara being the cause of it all by being the hand under the young doctors bed, but there was 'something' writing on walls and hiring under sheets? Was it the Silence?

I really enjoyed that, the best of the series and maybe for some time. It was the first epidsode that I though Capaldi really did the character justice. He really is a much darker Doctor.

I can't warm to the Pink character though.

I too am waiting to see if I start warming to Pink. I do agree though, that this week's epidose was one of the better ones, and that both Jenna and Clara seem to be maturing nicely.

I also got the impression that PC is fitting better into the role of the Doctor now.

That's a very good writeup, quite timely as I'm watching it a second time on BBC3; makes a lot more sense now. "The story without a real villain" is the main aspect I have a problem with.
Why does it need a villain?

Only if it had Fry _and_ Laurie in. Actually, that idea probably has a bloody good detective series in it somewhere.

They did actually state that he was (or at least will be) a time traveller .... so not sure why you just "get the feeling" smile

Already geared up as a companion for later in this series no?

I thought that was the reference from his great-grandson about old stories he used to be told about time travelling grandparents (Clara?)...

I really hope not. The first time I saw the character last week, I thought "I hope he is only in this week's episode" I really cant stand his style of acting.

I think you are all missing the obvious
Danny Pink is the Dalek from episode 2 who has merged into human form.
Daleks frequently refer to themselves as "soldiers" Danny has been a soldier.
His melancholy is because he remembers his destruction of other Daleks after he was reprogrammed by the Doctor - I know it wasn't an actual reprogramme but you get the gist.

This will be the series BIG REVEAL

I was waiting for some sublime reference to Jimmy Saville and/or Rolf Harris.

From the size of it, it certainly wasn't Cyril Smith.
