Originally I put it down to this, but then I remebemered that I didn't connect with Matt smith originally. I'm actually really liking Capaldi as the doctor, and Coleman as Clara has to be one of the best assistants in a very long time but the scripts are just killing them.
THIS

Capaldi has grown on me like other doctors

Coleman is the most engaging character for a few years, still wrapped in mystery

Scripts and leading the viewers by the nose is the weak point which is spoiling the series.
There's been an equal number of lousy and fantastic episodes this series. Reckon that Capaldi has done a cracking job with what he's been given (which at times really hasn't been much at all). Whilst the whole "missy" thing could turn out to be brilliant, I feel like what they've done with her so far has been a complete waste of time.

The biggest problem with drip feeding missy is Ive forgotten when she appeared and what she's said.

I got the impression at the end of this last episode that Clara and Missy were some how linked.

Awful episode, very weak story line, I've been very 50/50 with this new series the writing is lacking any substance

Also largely missing any credibility, consistency, and simple quality frown

I think Capaldi and Coleman are both fine. Coleman is turning out to be a pretty decent actor.

The problem is the stories and the scripts. I thought "Listen" was very good, but the rest has been pretty poor.

I think Capaldi's the best Doctor since Ecclestone, but the scripts are reverting to "Oh, aren't we so bloody clever" again.

A shame, as the Dalek episode, I thought, was exceptionally good.

BTW, where were the trees supposed to have suddenly gone after the solar flare this week?

Finale with Cybermen bodes well, perhaps with Capaldi we can finally be rid of the stupid Gay Pride march version and return to the Cybermen that chilled me so much as a kid that I still get goosebumps if I'm in a tunnel on the underground alone!

Agree. Children must have loved that one. I can imagine the questions tonight "Mummy. Was grandad made into a Cyberman"?

I guessed the circle with a smaller circle was an eye and the Master was too obvious as well.

Best episode to date. I loved the "We've got Steve Jobs" gag.

yes

Both obvious, but still very well done (compared to the rest of the series - barring Oriebt Express & Flatlines)
